When it's clear that religion can't evolve, it's forever stuck in the past. You would never try and revise the bible, like Genesis Part 2. Which is the problem here. Those we are believing in the bible are seeing the world the same way as those who lived 2,000 years ago. From the knowledge we have gained about the mysteries of the universe from science, which is always evolving and self-correcting. We are learning more about who we really are and where we are and even why. Unless religion can begin to embrace the discoveries made from science, it will never evolve and could doom our species to arrogance and extinction.

The Catholic encylopedia admits that the trinity{a Babylonish belief} was not taught untill over 250 years after Jesus'death and many other religions such as Baptist , Methodist, lutheranand all other so called christian faiths are all offshoots from their mother the catholic church. Did you ever give that any thought?

If there was a mile high moutnain of granite and every 1000 years a blackbird flew by and brushed it with a tailfeather, by the time that mountain wore down, the merest fraction of a second would have passed in context with eternity--Lois Duncan

Do you have any other comparisons to share? Any quotes that might help define what eternity is?

There seem to be a huge number of Christians on this site. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but everyone else's voices might be being drowned out. If you're not a Christian, then what is your faith, and why are you proud to follow it?

Now days its like anything goes. Hey do what you want. Be tolerant.

How far will they take this tolerance deal??
I can see it now. "OH leave him alone if he likes to rape little girls, be tolerant. "

why cant anyone answer that question with like whatever-to have a happier home, more prayer, to read the bible more, to have better friends, not to get drunk, not to fornicate, to live for God, something but not like -'no wish or prayer'=Dah?

What exactly was the relationship between Jonathan and David?

Samuel 18:1-4

[1] And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
[2] And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house.
[3] Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.
[4] And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.

It is so easy to understand this and find answers for this in the bible, so why do you atheists and unbelievers try so hard not to find them?
Why is it that you believe what a skeptic says about the bible immediately without question? And are so happy to paste it or copy it that I can almost feel your glee? Is it not because you are predisposed to it and not controlling your bias?
Do you atheists and unbelievers not question yoursleves and your motives on these things? Do you think it is unnecessary to cross examine yoursleves?
