There seem to be a huge number of Christians on this site. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but everyone else's voices might be being drowned out. If you're not a Christian, then what is your faith, and why are you proud to follow it?

Thanks everyone for your responses so far!
Glad to see the diversity of believers (and non-believers) there are out there. Good to see you're proud of who you are.
Also thanks to the many Christians that saw this posting and showed respect and dignity by not answering - it reflects well on you and your beliefs. (the one naughty exception so far has received a low rating from me!)
Oh, and another slap on the wrist for the ranting nonsensical capital letters man! But cheers dude, you in particular lightened up my day.

Wiccan.
I'm not too sure if "pride" would be an apt description but certainly "joy" and "love" are!

Hey Hey, ho ho, conversion seekers have got to go
not a Xian
I am an odd one
I chose my faith, it did not choose me
proud to follow Universalist Unitarian simply because it puts principle, ethics, values above justifiable homicide, exclusion and hate
if it harms any, it is bad
if it mutually benefits, it is good
so much can be defined using this definition
I believe in no real hell, but rather the ability for us to use our power of choice and faith in Humanity to accomplish good

That would be me.. I'm an Apostate..
The word itself in its etymological sense, signifies the desertion of a post, the giving up of a state of life; he who voluntarily embraces a definite state of life cannot leave it, therefore, without becoming an apostate.
I "deserted" Christianity.. I feel it was a MATURATION PROCESS.. I started asking questions like "Why, How and When?".. I found the paradigms I was horse collared with as an adolescent couldn't stand up to research...
After "abandoning" my religion I found myself drawn to the Tanakh (Old Testament).. It is unchanged text from over THREE MILLENIUM ago.. I feel it has more GRAVITAS and more to offer than the lies and half-truths in "The New Testament".

I'm a spiritual person, not a religious person. Religion will be the downfall of mankind. I'm an avid fan of the book "Conversation With God" by Neale Donald Walsch...it expresses some out of the ordinary views which I like. I guess I feel like religions always say "WE'RE the chosen ones and if you don't do it our way, you're doomed to hell." Christians REALLY like to ram this way of thinking down throats (it's been my experience anyway).

Proud atheist, might not work for you, but thats fine with me, I am not trying to convert anyone. I am atheist because thinking with logic and rational thought seems a much better course than blindly following the guy who collects all the money and then tells you he needs more or you might get burned in hell.

Jewish. We are one of the major and oldest religioun in the world. We have accepted the bible (Torah) first when everyone else didnt want to belive in one god. We set an example to everybody that beliving in one god is right and now, a mojority of the people in the world belive in one god. Pretty good, dont u think?

I don't consider mtself Christian anymore...I don't agree with some of the teachings! So, I've 'dropped' the brand of Christianity! I'm nothing now...I just believe in God!

Atheist, secular humanist, etc. I am not proud of this because, for me, atheism was not a decision, nothing righteous or considered, simply a part of me I had no choice in whatsoever.

I am not a christian because I don't believe in a judgmental punishing God.
I follow the teachings of Jesus and believe in the unconditionally loving God that he taught us about.
Love and blessings Don

Whoop Whoop! There's my shout out :-) I don't follow any particular faith, I draw aspects from lots of different ones. Most of my inspiration comes from Buddhism though. Namaste!
