That is scary, but an un-known thought. Since I was a kid, I would see a group of religious people standing on the sidewalk telling people as they walked by that the world would come to an end in 1975. Well here it is 2006, almost 2007 and the world did not end. You should not be frightened by these scare tactics. We do not know what hour He cometh. Only God knows that answer. Only God knows.

2012 is the End of the Mayan Calander. Instead of renewing the calender, they just ended it there. It does NOT mean the world will end there, just that it will be a new beginning for a new calendar. However, many people love doomsday stuff, so they took the information and ran with it.

The world isn't ending in 2012. Stop being scared. And stop believing everything you read on the internet. Anyone can say anything they want. That includes this site.

Dont worry i believe it will end in 2012 because the Mayan Calendar says so. Its pretty weird that they can predict their own doomsday and Aztecs too by describing what the people would look like (for example Hernan Cortez). Its said in 2012 the god Kukulcan (i think) will come up from the ball court in Chichen Itza and set the world on fire. Ive been there its pretty cool actually.

Dont listen to that stuff its for sensationalism .People want attention..If you believe in the bible it says that not even the son of god knows the last days..Please dont develop a phobia about things like that..This old world has seen a lot of major events and we are all still here.. But say if you did want to worry which I pray that you dont.. No one is promised tomorrow or even you next breath. There are so many catastropes that could take all of us out at every minute of everyday that its unbelievable ..It could happen any minute of any day to the world or to just you.. Do yourself a favor if you are afraid of dying ,and well I am and cant figure out why .. just try to live every moment to the fullest and do the things that you want to do and enjoy life as it comes ..in buddist text..It says that what the problem with most humans is that we form attachments that cant possibly be taken with us..We worry about what we cannot control..and thats what is the biggest issue with humans. We worry about death, getting old ,and getting sick..There is nothing we can do about any of these things. Now they believe that when our conciousness leaves our bodies that its seperate and goes to a place waiting to be born again , and we dont even take our bodies with us. According to them we can't take anything with us or anybody so why be attached to something that you will eventually lose..To prepare to pass from this life to the next to worry about doing good for those that need it and try to refrain from attachment.Im not trying to convert anyone because their beliefs are based more on logic than religion..But bottom line ,is live your life like you are going to die the next minute and remember to try not to have any regrets and you will never worry about the end of the world..

Back in the early 90's someone wrote a pamphlet how Christ was coming in late September. Well, the date came...no Christ. He did some more calculations and made it mid-October. Guess what, Christ still hasn't come back. Jesus said, "No one knows, however, will come - neither the angels in heaven or the Son. The Father alone knows." (Matthew 24:36; also Mark 13:32-37, Luke 17:26-30, 34-36).

if the world does in fact end in 2012,which i doubt because if yoou are going on that based on the mayan calandar the archeologists that investigate that stuff aren't going off of a lot of info and are pretty much peicing that stuff togeher. The real question to as yourself is why you are scared. If it's because you do not know what happens to you when you die, then fear of the unknown is QUITE scary. check out the listed website and I hope this answers your question as it looks like you are seeking answers to bigger questions than just Mayan eschatology (which isn't really true)

Well, don't be scared, its a bunch of malarkey! Even the most believeable religion, that speaks the most about the end times, states that only God knows, not even the angels. So, even if you don't believe in that, its interesting to know that we are not missing out on something important here. The key is be ready. Live life today! Make the most of your family, and make your business with God, if you care to. It is a wise thing to do!

possibly 2011, but hey, who's counting, haha. if we knew how many close calls from asteroids we have had it would truly be scary. the 2011-12 theory evolved from 4 asteroids coming our way the smallest of which was a half mile.
they now say that the asteroids will miss us, but, they don't say whether it will miss our solar system. any disruption of sun and moon might still doom us, even the interference of the elements that hold the planets stable.
we, in the end, are born to die. the only question is always 'when' unless your name was saddam

The world was also predicted to "shut down" because of computers in 2000 too! lol... Only God knows when the world will end. Not the internet, Nostradamus, Tom Cruise, etc... :)
