Multinational surveys have often reported that Americans are much more likely to believe in God than people in most other developed countries, particularly in Europe. However, a new Harris Poll finds that 42 percent of all U.S. adults say they are not "absolutely certain" there is a God, including 15 percent who are "somewhat certain," 11 percent who think there is probably no God and 16 percent who are not sure.

I asked this before but for some unknown reason it was removed as offensive! I refute that.
The question was asked because end of timers believe that the chaos of global warming is all part of God's plan and the second coming. They will not try and stop polution and try to repair the planet as THEY WANT CHAOS TO REIGN! Islamic terrorist on the other hand are also fanatical and are using convetional attacks that kill thousands. Not nice people, but is that as dangerous as an influential group that has somehow convinced Bush Junior to leave off fixing the planet and worry instead on stem cells. Appreciate non abusive answers to a serious question unlike last time. If the question offends, then you have to remember we live in a free country and I am entitled to my opinion!

I'm looking for God's personal website. I have a few unresolved issues with him and life in general. If anyone knows his e-mail address, I would be appericative if you could send it my way. I promise not to send him any spam about how great Satan is, or how it's obvious how the Sanits are going to win the superbowl this year with Katrina and all.

I'm an Agnostic, leaning toward Atheism. Are there any good books that discuss religion/faith/spirituality in a reasonable (maybe even unbias) way?

My experience with Christians here and in the "real world" is that they somehow believe that their religious beliefs should go without criticism. I remember in college a girl asked me about Christianity and I said "No, I don't believe it in it. I think the bible is full of fallacies and historical inaccuracies," and then she said "HEY! That's my faith! You should have some more respect."

So I wonder, what gives you these special rights to sheild it from criticism while you are without problem of converting others, criticising atheism, and even mocking other religions that aren't as prevalent?

P.S. The thumbs down will be a reflection of what I say, and before anyone says, no, I do not mean EVERY SINGLE christian; just those that do; who I believe are a majority.

Tell you what....google it...study it yourself.

Doesnt sound illogical does it? If you separate the sexes, such that Ali doesnt see woman until he comes home and his sister takes of the Hijab....well...

Also, see if this "bigot" is lying about the fact that most Muslims (over 50%) marry family. Google it...whatever link I provide will always be questioned...so see for yourself.

Forget Islam...tell me...generally speaking...wouldnt you expect a rigid system of separation of sexes to increase sexual activity outside of what we would call the "norm"? Might you be more willing to have sex with your sister, during the throws of puberty, when feminity otherwise is stripped out of your culture?

I'm not so much interested in your views about whether evolution is true or not, more why do you think this issue has such central importance to religious, rather than scientific debates?

I just asked a question about certain religeons believing in the trinity. i have already got a LOT of respnses. How can Jesus pray to himself? In the New Testiment, He prays to Heaveny Father, and the Holy Ghost comes down in the form of a dove. How can Jesus be praying to His Father, if he is his own Father?

Have you ever wondered why everything that is so damned wrong feels so damned good? I have.

I was wondering, what if God really was the Devil and the Devil was the true creator? It would make more sense. Why would we be forbidden to enjoy the senses endowed to us by the very person that created them in the first place? Why would sex feel so good if it's only meant for procreation without recreation? Why would he create women so beautiful and then say not to admire their beauty?

What if we are meant to master the pain and pleasures of the physical realm to prepares us for the next one? And somehow, the wrong entity is winning the battle? It has been said that Satan is the great Deceiver... how can we be sure that he hasn't pulled off the greatest deception of all? To convince us that he is God and God is the Devil in an attempt to deny us the blessings of physical existence ?

This is my question... and a simple one. Why do people, like atheist, denounce GOD and claim he doesn't exist and they don't need him, but then when 9/11 came, there were more people at church that following sunday, than in the last 10 years combined. Sources say that many atheists and agnostics flocked to the church that day. Why, when things go wrong, do some people turn to GOD and religon, but want nothing else to do with him any other day?

Dont you love the power for search engines? Heres a Quran search engine, type the word "love" and see if you can find anything that tells you to love...well...anyone for any reason! http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/reference/searchquran.html

Think about that...we all know about the immense amount of violence in the Quran, written in the PRESENT TENSE without STORY LANGUAGE that makes one believe it was meant for a past time and not today, but now you can see why they are what they are...why almost all war today is Islamic....why Muslims have always been at war.

Is it a coincidence that almost all armed conflict today is Islamic and the Quran is all about armed conflict? Is it a coincidence that Muslims are the upitome of hatred and the Quran spews hatred and no doctrine of human love?
