I've never seen any scriptures on why, but then I've never seen any on why God exist either. The bible says in the beginning God. We only know that he exist because it says so. We dont know where God came from neither do we know how or why he is, he just is. But then that's what faith is all about, trusting that he is who he says he is. Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for , the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders recieved witness. Through faith we understand that the ages were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. By faith we believe God loves us because he says he does, enough to sacrafice his only begotten son, Jesus Christ so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life, and that means forever.

2 Peter 2:9 says He wishes to help those who show Godly devotion.
There's a reason.
Though Jesus is not God, they think similarly ...and of Jesus it is said:
“On seeing the crowds [of people] he felt pity for them, because they were skinned and thrown about like sheep without a shepherd.”—Matthew 9:36
Also Acts 20:35
“there is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving.”

No.

God realized that love cannot be created or forced, but will only manifest in sons of freewill. The wisdom of God also knew it would be necessary to govern sons of freewill by laws that are fair and righteous.

Your freewill proves His love.

How many do you want? John 3:16 is an excellent example though.

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.
(Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT)
If that's not love, I don't know what is...
