halal meat is where the animal is killed by sliting the throat so most blood will pour out quicker and clearner and at the time of the slaughter the the word bismillah are said which when translated means in the name of God.

There is a dietary code written into the Mosaic law. However, Christians are not commanded to obey every aspect of that great law except that which was written again in the Christian scriptures.
There is an interesting account in Acts chapter 10 where Peter is commanded in a vision to eat foods banned by the Mosaic law. When Peter refuses, he is told not to call unclean that which has been made clean. The point of the vision was to let Peter see that it was good to let gentiles into the fledgling Christian congregation. Immediately afterwards, Cornelius became the first gentile Christian.
However, this helps us to see that certain aspects of the law did not apply to Christians. (We can suppose that the practical nature of obeying all the law for everyone that wanted to be a christian made it as good as impossible.)
Acts further describes a controversy that arose among the disciples about obeying the Mosaic law. The answer was that they were to abstain from things sacrificed to idols, fornication, and from blood. Other aspects of the law were restated in other parts of the Christian scriptures, but there is no such restating of the dietary law.
I realise none of this has anything to do with Halal meat. However, we can take certain principles from it.
If the food has not been sacrificed to idols and does not contain the blood of the animal, then it IS okay to eat. I know Halal meat has NOT been sacrificed to idols. I'm fairly sure that halal meat has also got to be bled, but you need to find this out. Try posting this question on YA.
One extra word of caution: many things are okay for Christians but are a conscience matter. Halal meat would fall into this category. Some Christians no doubt enjoy Halal meat, some don't. Some are vegetarians and, of course, don't eat meat of any kind. The point is, in order to love our neighbours, we mustn't do anything to offend them. If they are offended by a Christian eating halal meat, then it's best to avoid doing so in front of them. Some Christians feel that, in this exact situation, it is best to completely avoid the offending action or article.
Try asking Jehovah's witnesses for further details, they would be happy to help.

Halal is a meat that has come from an animal that has been salughtered a certain way by laws of Islam.
Kosher are foods that are those written by the laws of Judaism- the animals are slaughtered a certain way and there are certain concuctions you cannot eat together like meat and dairy in the same meal and stuff.
Anyone can eat what ever they want- people who are supposed to eat halal don't so i can't see why you can't eat halal

No it's fine for Christians to eat Halal meat, it's killed in the Old Testament way, no blood, so I suppose you might be earning some brownie points from the man upstairs.

Hi everybody, I am a Muslim and I was born and raised in the Middle East specifically Lebanon. I have had a lot of Christian friends and neighbors whom I had dinners and lunches with. The word halal means permissible. And halal slaughtering consists of using a well-sharpened knife to make a swift, deep incision that cuts the front of the throat, the carotid artery, windpipe, and jugular veins to cause the least amount of suffering to the animal. Allah's name must be pronounced during slaughter (bismillah Allahou Akbar) which means” in the name of God and God is the greatest”. In the Middle East Muslims eat from Christian butchers and Christians eat from Muslim butchers because over there halal (permissible) is the only way of killing the animals. It has nothing to do with sacrificing the animal to Allah. Sacrificing to God is a whole different thing which we do when celebrating the sacrifice holiday which commemorates the story about the prophet Abraham when he was asked to sacrifice his son. The story that is written in the Bible as well as in the Quran.

do u know what is halal meat in the first place?
halal meat is just killing the animal by cutting the head from the throat and say "in the name of God" thats all.
so its the same meat only (not dead before cutting its neck) because its the only way to keep the blood from drying before u cut the meat, its healthier, and thats why Islam order us (Muslims) to eat halal meat or chicken.
we cant eat any dead animal, only the ones killed this way.

On the contrary, the Bible teaches us to eat only halal meat and avoid the unclean or haram meats.
Read Genesis 71-5
1 Then the LORD said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation. 2 You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female; 3 also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth. 4 For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.” 5 And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him
Leviticus 11
1 Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘These are the animals which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth: 3 Among the animals, whatever divides the hoof, having cloven hooves and chewing the cud—that you may eat. 4 Nevertheless these you shall not eat among those that chew the cud or those that have cloven hooves: the camel, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you; 5 the rock hyrax, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you; 6 the hare, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you; 7 and the swine, though it divides the hoof, having cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. 8 Their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch. They are unclean to you.
9 ‘These you may eat of all that are in the water: whatever in the water has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers—that you may eat. 10 But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you. 11 They shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination. 12 Whatever in the water does not have fins or scales—that shall be an abomination to you.
13 ‘And these you shall regard as an abomination among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, the vulture, the buzzard, 14 the kite, and the falcon after its kind; 15 every raven after its kind, 16 the ostrich, the short-eared owl, the sea gull, and the hawk after its kind; 17 the little owl, the fisher owl, and the screech owl; 18 the white owl, the jackdaw, and the carrion vulture; 19 the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.
Isaiah 66:16,17
16 For by fire and by His sword
The LORD will judge all flesh;
And the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17 “ Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves,
To go to the gardens
After an idol in the midst,
Eating swine’s flesh and the abomination and the mouse,
Shall be consumed together,” says the LORD.

I'm a Chirstian. Halal meat is the way they kill the animal so it doesn't really mean anything to me. I just pray over my food and bless it in the name of Jesus and eat happily.
