Multinational surveys have often reported that Americans are much more likely to believe in God than people in most other developed countries, particularly in Europe. However, a new Harris Poll finds that 42 percent of all U.S. adults say they are not "absolutely certain" there is a God, including 15 percent who are "somewhat certain," 11 percent who think there is probably no God and 16 percent who are not sure.

No, I'm not absolutely sure that God exists. But I'm a Christian. What other alternative is there? In other words, when I consider all the options, this is the MOST reasonable choice, even if it falls short by 15% or so. I'm 85% (+/- 5%) sure that God exists, not 100.0000000% .

It would be absolutely amazing if even 1% say they are ABSOLUTELY sure that God exists!!

No, i'm no longer certainly useful that God exists. yet i'm a Christian. What different option is there? In different words, once I evaluate all the concepts, it relatively is the main useful selection, despite if it falls short via 15% or so. i'm 80 5% (+/- 5%) useful that God exists, no longer one hundred.0000000% . it may be certainly magnificent if even a million% say they are certainly useful that God exists!!

Polls, surveys... really, who cares? You're talking about the deepest issues of human life. Do you care what other people think?

Certainty... what is certainty? Hume showed that you can't even prove effective causality. When you get to the bottom of it, everything that's most important in human life is based on trust, on faith -- not on certainty. And this is as true for our knowledge of the ultimate Mystery as it is for our relationships with those we love.

So no, I'm not certain -- of anything. Do I love, do I hope, do I trust, do I believe? Yes. And it makes me a better man.

yeah and did you know that 60percent of Christian teens don'e believe Christ died and rose again. Statistics, you can base your life on em but it doesn't do you much good when you want to have fun, anyways I have no doubt in my mind that there is a God. There are so many things that point to a creator. My friend said it so well Take a good look around and Deny God's Existence, a fools quest...

I believe in God, but I am not certain of his existence. Why? I lack proof of it. I can look around and see a universe in which the Creator seems to be suggested, but that doesn't make it so. It is quite possible that there is no Creator.

I am absolutely SURE there is one God.
Ephesians 4:4,5,6
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them which diligently seek him.

I am sure there is a God. Question for those people who gave that survey, Did they ask everyone in the world that question? I think not so it is not true.
