String Theory says there are eleven dimensions, so there should be a way to get from one dimension to another, I think... Now, scientists say that each dimension is at a different time in history or in the future. Couldn't you rip in and rip out of different dimensions with little time passing? I mean, once you got into a dimension, you'd have to drive or walk to wherever you wanted to go and then then rip back out again. Couldn't this be what Jesus did in the Bible??? For Example: Jesus entered and left a locked room instantly... Could this be real according to your Biblical knowledge?

If you believe in no diety nor life after death (thus believing that everything ceases to be once your mortal body dies), then what is the point of trying to do anything? What motivates you to live from one day to the next? Why not just act completely on impulse regardless of consequences since it won't matter in the end anyway?
This is not a lecture of any sort. I am honestly curious.
Thank you.

The good news is the gospel about Jesus. And include as many details and info as possible. Please be accurate and factual as possible. I need real facts. If you can post the link where I might or find information on the ways the Catholic Church spread the good news

Suppose the stars line up in the sky tommorow and spell out, "I am god and I created everything."

What would it matter?

Really?

If we discover there is a god, or prove there isn't, how is life going to change? If there is a god, we know it ignores our plight here on earth. Unless we can directly question it, and ask it questions about life, death, religion, our origins, it's origins, good, evil, etc, we are in the exact same boat, except we'd know we weren't alone in the universe.

In a few months, our lives and our world would go on pretty much as they do now, except you'd have a lot more frightened people joining all the competing religions, which would probably claim even MORE adamantly that the message was from THEIR god.

And the atheists would claim it was the work of aliens, or some insane random interstellar event.

I am currently doing a paper for my Humanities Course in Religions of the World and in my final project, I have to interview someone of the faith I picked and of course I picked Buddhism... so I have a couple of questions...
1. Why do you practice Buddhism?
2. What holidays do you celebrate?
3. What are the different traditions that go with each holiday?
4. How has Buddhism shaped who you are?
5. What challenges, if any, do you with practicing Buddhism?
6. Are there aspects of Buddhism that you would rather not practice?
7. If you had a choice would you practice another religion?
8. What division of Buddhism do you practice?
9. (If male) How do you feel about women in the teaching aspect of Buddhism? (If female) How do you feel about the constraints placed on women in Buddhism?
10. Have you or would you ever make an expedition to the homeland of Buddhism?

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

Walking round uni lately I've noticed one astonishing thing. Amongst all the fund-raising (i.e. children in need, poppy day etc) British muslims only seem to be involved in raising money for muslim victims of poverty and earthquakes and stuff. In fact I don't know any muslims who give a damn about British chaities, despite being British (and I know a helluva lot of Brit Muslisms)

before Christians spread, like a plague, across europe (& then the rest of this god forsaken planet), people believed in a variety of creatures & deities.
now there's only god the father, christ the son & the holy spirit (sometimes they're rolled into one). & if you're catholic, there's all them "saints".
WTF MAN?
