The catholic church spread the good news by inventing a false religion to subvert the true teachings of Jesus. They did this by carefully choosing what got into the bible. They replaced most of the teachings of Jesus with the paulist doctrines that are what is currently seen today as being Christianity.

These teachings of Paul in no way resemble the teachings of Jesus, and are in many ways almost the exact opposite of his teachings.

With the addition of such texts as those that are found in the old testament and revelations, the actual teachings of Jesus are hidden in a judgmental matrix of nonsensical gibberish that effectively masks nearly everything that Jesus tried to give to us.

If you read in the book of Acts in the New Testament, the followers of Jesus first called themselves, "The Way". Later in the book of Acts, it says, "This was the first time that the followers of Jesus called themselves Christians". Bible scholars date that about the year 100.

In church history, in about the year 200, the followers of Jesus decided to call themselves, Universal Christians, to afirm that there was only 1 church of Jesus Christ. The word in Greek for universal is, Catholic.

Up until the year 1000, when the split occured between the Roman Catholic Church and the Greek Orthodox Catholic Church, there was only 1 church, the Catholic Church. The reason for the split was 2 fold, The Greek or Churches in the East, refused to accept the authority of the Biship of Rome (the Pope) and part of the Apostle's Creed.

In the Roman church, they said, "We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son". The Greek church said, "No. The Holy Spirit only proceeds from The Father". They cited the scripture, "and Jesus said to His apostles, ' It is good for you that I go (to the Father, just before His acession into Heaven). For I will ask the Father to send you another Comforter, The Holy Spirit.)

I know that so far I haven't directly answered your question about how the Catholic Church spread The gospel of Jesus. What I'm trying to explain is that before the Protestants left the Catholic Church in the 1600's, there was only the Catholic Church ( both Roman Catholic and Greek or Orthodox Catholic)

So that, EVERY way that the Gospel message was spread before the 1600's and especially before the year 1000 was done by the Catholic Church.

Today, they still spread the message by sending missionaries to 3rd world countries, all of the work of Catholic Charities, street missions, and the TV ministry of Mother Angelica's cable chanel, EWTN ( Eternal Word Network) which is on 24 hours a day and is broadcast all over the world.

When Christianity began, there was only the Roman Catholic Church. The word Catholic means "Universal." As the apostles and disciples took Christ's command to go to the ends of the earth and Baptize all in His name, it was the Catholic Church which sent its missionaries. Even today there are men and women who continue to do this all over the world.
It was the Catholic Church who decided and put together the books of the New Testament. The Catholic Church teaches in schools and universities as well as work with the poorest of the poor in third world countries.
There are many good links on the net. I suggest you Google Catholic Church or St. Anthony Messenger. The Catechism of the Catholic Church is also a good source. An excellent text is called: "Catholicism" by Richard Mc Bride.

You can look at the history of Christinaity 40BC-450AD. I took a whole class on this time period where christianity was being formed. The catholic church was the basis for all of Christianity. There were no other churches. I would look up Emporer Constantine who perhaps had the largest impact of formation of the catholic church and spreading it through Rome.

Don't make the error of grouping men and women in combination like this. I understand many Catholics and they don't seem to be in any respect how the media or comedians understand them to be. Go out and meet a few REAL men and women. They aren't what you consider they're. They are excellent men and women. Well ... no less than those i do know.
