In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

And worship God and associate naught with Him, and show kindness to parents, and to kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and to the neighbour who is a kinsman, and the neighbour who is a stranger, and the companion by your side, and the wayfarer, and those whom your right hands possess. Surely, God loves not the arrogant and the boastful;

Whoso does a good deed shall have ten times as much; but he who does an evil deed, shall be requited only with the like of it; and they shall not be wronged

There is not an animal that crawls in the earth, nor a bird that flies on its two wings, but they are communities like you. We have left out nothing in the Book. Then to their Lord shall they all be gathered together.

And how many an animal there is that carries not its sustenance! God provides for it and for you. And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

I find it in poor taste the questions asked on this subject! A little more respect or are you acting like the drunken Englishman ,Darwin? We are spiritual beings in a great mystery we can not understand , why belittle ourselves? Look what the so called evolution has created, abortions en masse, child abuse, elder killings, corruption in the highest form of goverment. abuses of all sort and the so called right to do them! May GOD have mercy on us! Amen.

"For me and the Father are one and the same" - Jesus. I am not religious. This is simply a question. It would seem that when one reaches complete consciousness, the truth is revealed that "we are God", or "God-connected". There have been many Masters throughout our history, surely there must have been others who taught this truth. Do you know of any who so boldly professed it? I'm not talking about the general "we are one, we are god" teaching. I'm talking about a man, telling others that he is God - in an effort to teach them the grandest truth. Ken Wilber discusses how this is the inevitable evolution of Who We Are. That once we reach complete consciousness, we have no choice but to call ourselves God. I'm paraphrasing a discussion he had with another scholar.

would he give man Logic that can disprove the existence of Him..

This seems all the more bizarre when you read the old testament and see that he is a "jealous god", who's own Ten Commandments have 3 commandments dedicated to worshipping him..(bit conceited, no?)

Also, if he truly created the universe and everything in it, why would He need to force us to believe in him - surely someone as great would not need to ask, as his greatness would be assumed - yet he need 30% of the rules of life dedicated to admiring him...

The question is: Why would he give us the "gift" to disprove him (or even doubt him) when he is so obviously conceited and self-important.?

Now!?

I just aks-ed (as they say in New York) 2 inflammatory, baiting questions and so far haven't had anything but moral frickin support.

Talk about taking your bat home. This place just isn't the fun it used to be.

So Mary didnt remain a virgin after Jesus. Now about Jesus brothers? They would be half brothers to Jesus, would that be correct. Did you notice there was not much reference to Joseph either!!

Any ideas to these things?

In a recent answer Mae said:

"I don't like the fact they teach about Santa Clause. I feel it is wrong to lie to little kids about this scary strange man being so good he knows if your good or bad. " But she seems to feel it is ok to teach God as an angry old man in the sky who is controlling your life and will send you to hell if you don't do exactly as he says for your entire life?

I ask you?

My son came up to me and asked the age-old question, "Dad - how can Santa deliver all those toys to all the world's children all at the same time?" I explained that it was a similar situation to how God could watch 6 billion people every second of every day. He responded, "so you mean Santa's a made up fairy story as well!?" Poor lad hasn't stopped crying since. Should I try and talk him into believing all myths again, or do you think that at the age of 21 he's probably a bit too old for all this Santa and god stuff?

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.

The life of this world is made to appear attractive to those who disbelieve; and they scoff at those who believe. But those who fear God shall be above them on the day of Resurrection; and God bestows His gifts on whomsoever He pleases without reckoning.

On that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will wish that the earth were made level with them, and they will not be able to hide anything from God.

Every soul shall taste of death. And you shall be paid in full your rewards only on the Day of Resurrection. So whosoever is removed away from the Fire and is made to enter Heaven has indeed attained his goal. And the life of this world is nothing but an illusory enjoyment.

O ye who believe! Spend out of what We have bestowed on you before the day comes wherein there shall be no buying and selling, nor friendship, nor intercession, and it is those who disbelieve that do wrong to themselves.

..to say to atheists/agnostics : "Do you really think the Universe just created itself"

yet when asked : "Where did God come from.."

do they answer "He has always existed...he just does.."

Now, Im not looking for "who created god" debate.

I just want to know why Christians cannot accept logic arguments that they try to use against others, used against themselves and their beliefs.

As a Pagan watching this from another point of view, I cannot help but wonder of how hypocritical this has become on any level.

Considering the story of Christ at the market place in the temple...just what would such a being think of our modern celebration in his name?

Do you want your children to believe what you tell them ?
Then why tell them lies about a Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny ?
What is wrong with the truth?
If you lie to your children its your own fault if they don't listen to you when they are older.
