That's why it's called faith and you need to believe, even when all the facts point to the overwhelming evidence that there is no god.
Your question ask can you, and you only need look around at the millions of Christan's, Muslims, Jews and various other cults to know that people do believe not matter how ill-logical, infeasible and damn right stupid some of their beliefs are.

The only way something that you have faith in that can go wrong is if it is not faith in God.
Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
If you are going thorugh some hard times, (tribulations) that does not mean that your faith in God is wrong. Even those with the greatest of faith in God go through some of the hardest of times. But God will not bring you to anything that He won't bring you through. Praise the Lord!!

Yes, you can have faith in something that is wrong.
However, if you are asking is faith in Jesus wrong, my answer is no. It is through faith by grace that salvation is obtained - a free gift of God. However, in my own personal relationship with God, He has proven to me, without a doubt, that His word is true. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, the life - no man comes to the Father but through Me." I know it without a doubt, to the very core of my being. My faith was given to me from God and is unswerving.

Yes... 50% of marriages end in divorce. You have faith in relationships. When you marry you expect to last forever. But if you don't have faith in anything, then you sit in the corner by yourself... experiencing nothing.

I don't think that anyone said 'no.'
I am also saying yes. Yet we must be in faith of SOMETHING in order to live 'normally.'
You have noticed that there were many answers that had nothing to do with 'religion.' That's a case in point.
