It's more about whose religion is worse.

Let's say some silly American teenie girl becomes enamoured with some Islamic guy but is never told he can beat her if wants to and its allowed or she can't drive her own car or get a tan in public and more importantly is not told she can be killed if she renounces the faith. When Don Juans come and whisper sweet nothings into your ear, they're not about to tell you the bad points until it's too late and they have a sword in their hands and say, leave, but understand I'll strike you down. It's the law!

It's a one way trip. You won't find ANY atheists PUBLICALLY showing their faces and saying they LEFT ISLAM and became Atheists, they face execution for that.

That's why ALL the Atheists here come from religions other than Islam. The other religions don't come after you for leaving.

There are probably ex-ISlamic atheists, but they know better than to come out of the closet.

There is no point in it at all. Those who do so aren't well versed in their own religion because just about ALL religions believe in loving and nonjudgmental relations with all humans. If you are judging the way that someone else lives his or her life, you are usually not being true to what you supposedly believe.

It makes those who argue the point feel superior.

We all have doubts in what we believe. Sometimes winning an argument can assist in making those doubts vanish, however we all know that arguments can be won with incorrect answers...just depends on how well one argues.

Its not arguing, its just sharing different views, if you learned somthing new, you would want to tell others about the goodnews, that is what christians are doing, spreading the good news..

I don't argue. I explain my side...and allow them to talk about their side. Actually...I don't argue religion, I discuss what's in the Bible. It's amazing what 'relgion' doesn't teach you. Sometimes you have to do it on your own....as I did..and I'm STILL learning.

The purpose? No clue. It sure is fun to watch the whole debate, though, even if it gets unnerving, at times.

Forget religion.

Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Christ is the tree of life.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

None whatsoever.

Matthew 18:1-3 (New International Version)

1At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Because all religious people need to believe they're right. For one religion to be right, the others need to be wrong.
