do you think that it's wrong for parents to make their kids believe in the same religion they do at a young age? are they that afraid that they will lose their children if they wait until they are old enough to make an informed decision about which, if any, religion to be that they will not be religious?

It is amazing to me that Americans are not protesting the letter on the internet. We have to take the "Ten Commandments" out of public buildings, and remove crosses and religious things. Why do we let this stranger write this letter and no one complains???
I was just wondering your opinion.

The local school board decided that there will be no Christmas program this year, but that the children could have Hannuka and Kwanza pagents. Does anyone see the logic here?

(I'm not Christian)

in that it is concieted to think that we understand God? We think we know what he is is thinking and what he is doing and what he is, but really the only evidence we have is in a collection of books. I think we will never understand what started it all, and we shouldn't think we do.

I have encountered Satan in dreams and visions, expecially when I became a new Christian. So Christians how often have you encounted the harassment of the enemy. Have you ever encounted the enemy in dreams or visions. Satan hates us, and we cannot stand him either. Do you plead the blood of Jesus when he does? This questions are only for Christians because non Christians do not believe in Satan or his evil angels called demons. I know Satan is real, as I have encounted him. Before I became a Christian I did not believe in Him. Since of became one I know the truth now.

I am absolutely new to the Christian religion. I am about to start going to church, but it's a Christian church... it's not a "certain type". How can I find out what kind of Christian am I? Baptist? Catholic? ARGH! Help, I feel overwhelmed. :)

There's no love or hate for God, and scriptures do not inspire either. I mean, you can't force yourself to love.

I am a follower of an eastern religion and have made some unsettling observations:
1) Every Christian I have met is less intelligent than myself
2) Every Christian I have met is ignorant of their own faith
3) Every Christian I have met is a jerk who slanders peoples of other faiths and cares only for those who share their own beliefs
4) Christians are responsible for all the wrongs in the world, as they have done nothing to right them
5) Christians place blame on others, ignoring their own foolishness, saying that others are more foolish than themselves
6) Christians believe in a man who died for their sins 2000 years ago only because a book tells them to do so! How idiotic?? ! Who believes the printed word with no evidence in the real world???

Are these not valid points? Are Christians not leading wasting lives???

I mean the Beatles & Zeppelin were pretty good, but Tenacious just takes it to a whole 'nother level!

"She who is juicy, must be loosey goosey"
"He who is groovy, much be in my movie"
"He who's a crony, can suck on my bonie"

Never have such truths been spoken in a song.

I tend to be very needy at times and I always feel I need hugs and need to be reassured about things. I love to feel safe and secure which is one of the reason I love coming on yahoo answers and gettting and receving e-mails because I get a sense of belonging and security when I get my questions answered and forgive me for saying this but when I pray to God about my questions and concerns I do not always get an answer and I do read my Bible at least once a day and I pray to God and talk to God all the time, I just like gettting affirmation and like I said before security. My question is I have always wanted to be a lay counsellor and help people and encourage people with all I have been though. How can I be more confident so I dont ask so many questions on yahoo answers or lean on my family so much,
for support?

What are godly ways to stand on "my own two feet". I have been under a lot of stress and that is why maybe I have been "leaning" on others alot.

The Christian right are talking hold in parts of America, trying to set an agenda based on Christianity - these Christian Fundamentalists have friends in high places, and lobby for a stricter following of Christian beliefs.

Creationism is on the rise, and is becoming a real threat to Evolution in the some parts of the country.

If it does indeed take the "wrong path" could America end up like Iran, Iraq or Syria? with fundamentalism taught to kids from a young age.

Will we see American Christian Suicide bombers?

But would it bother you if someone converted to your religion?

thanks=)

I have had the same therapist for 21 years and now I am moving, could you pray that when my husband (he comes with me to the sessions) and I go we would leave on a postive note and that it will be a blessed session. Most likely I may be tearful as I will miss this Dr a lot, but I want to leave on a good note. Thank you in advance for praying and God bless you.

I am christian and I have homosexual and bisexual friends. I believe in justice for all people and they (the homosexual community) are facing social oppression to an extent and I feel it is wrong. Is it, by me being christian, wrong to tolerate their lifestyle and vouch for civil rights for them? Or should I be like the extremist christian and do nothing while people who are sinners like we are get persecuted by those of us who proclaim the God that IS love?
