are really here just subconsciously looking to be pointed in the right direction? Some of them have spent INORDINATE hours of time surfing through this section, harrassing and asking the most insulting questions abour our God. Beyond the obvious of just attempting to be pains in the rumps, do you honestly think that some of them are searching for truth and perhaps they just don't even know it yet themselves? I'm curious as to why so many of them would spend SO MUCH time in this section if they truly were atheists......

Many Muslim cab drivers in Minneapolis are refusing to allow passengers carrying alcohol in their cabs, saying it is against the Islamic Shariah [law] to do so.
Sounds crazy, but sadly it is true. As a Muslim I am both ashamed and shocked at this strange conduct of my coreligionists. In principle Islam does not advocate imposition of Islamic values on others. To cite only two; “Let there be no compulsion in religion” [Quran: 2:256] and “To us shall be accounted our deeds, and to you, your deeds. Let there be no contention between us and you: God will bring us all together - for with Him is all journey’s end" [Quran, 42:15].
To be fair to them, Islamic sources do forbid alcohol consumption unequivocally [Quran 2:219] and Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings be upon him, also forbid trade in alcohol [Bukhari 34:297, 8:449, 34:429], but all these sources forbid selling and trading alcohol. Extending this ban to giving rides to tired travelers carrying alcohol for personal consumpt

When someone is praying, they are putting a lot of energy into it, mentally and sometimes physically to "hope" and "influence" events to occur.

If this is a perspective of any, why do so many ridicule wiccans?

ok so i've been a christian for six months now, but i just don't feel comfortable hanging out with these christians people from church. they said i'm really quiet but that's just because i have no idea what to talk about when i'm with them. it's crazy. i can't relate to any of them.
oh and bytheway when i'm with non-christian people i feel soooo freeee. of course the sex talk, prostitutes jokes piss me off but i can still cope being with those guys rather than christians. why?? i'm trying to be good. but it just doesn't feel right. i thought i found my self identity. i belonged in a band. now that they told me rock n roll is the devil's music, i've got nothing. i don't know where i belong. i'm not supposed to hang with non christians cos they said they'll be bad influence and i can't hang with christians cos they make me feel really really uncomfortable. what now?

Lately my boyfriend and I (8 months) have been experimenting with oral and manual sex because I refuse to have actual intercourse before marriage because of my religion, but now I'm wondering if that's wrong too? I mean, my mom says it is. I asked her without telling her I was participating (she's very religious). I just don't understand why it is wrong. It's not hurting anyone. I'm in an actual relationship, there's no risk of pregnancy (if careful) we both love each other and it's helping prevent sex because we have something to do physically to get over our urges.

So I guess I'm asking if anyone else with religious values out there knows if this is wrong or not. If it is, tell me why, please. I'm so confused. Serious and detailed answers are appreciated. Thank you.

I try to keep the sabbath and not work on Sunday. But it is ALREADY Sunday where I live and I am not finished with these cupcakes for tomorrows birthday lunch for Pastor Thorndale in the church reception hall. If Nadine knew I was up this late she tell the whole Bridge club. Should I stop and ice them in the morning or finish while I have everything out. Am I living a life of sin?

Many evangelicals deny the experience of millions and the expertise of psychologists and psychiatrists by saying that homosexuality does not exist as a personality trait, inborn experience, or as a sexual orientation.

However, the Roman Catholic bishops recently issued a statement acknowledging that people are homosexual (although they say that it remains a sin to act upon these sexual urges).

How can the evangelicals justify statements that have so many refutations in logic, experience, and scientific evidence? Doesn't denying the existence of homosexuality as an orientation make it harder to believe everything else they say?

Hitler titled his book Mein Kampf. Translated this means "my struggle". The word Jihad is also translated "struggle". Interesting, huh?

Earlier a person posted a most perfect question about judgeing. We are commanded to judge.

John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Matthew 1:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Matthew 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

John 12:24
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

All these verses are telling us to judge.

I'm just curious. If you are asking/answering on R and S because you feel a little lost or do you want to help others find their way. Right now I feel a little lost although I am always willing to help others if I can. Lately though it just seems like there is a lot of stupid questions out there. Nothing to really pique my interest and get me responding.
