I don't believe that anyone truly wants disrespect from others that would of course include me, I therefore, try to treat other people the way I would like to be treated and as far as I know I have done so, because even the unruly questions that are disrespectful I try to answer with respect or not at all

I like to be respected from other people, not disrespected.

I don't really care how people react to what I say, but I would at least appreciate it if someone asks a question if they are sincere and not insulting or indecent. But of course I would prefer it if a debate could end with a handshake then go out for a burger and talk about the Seahawks and how they literally "threw" the game away.

it all really hinges upon why...to expect disrespect from ignorance is merely a confirmation of ones lack thereof and an upside down compliment. Respect from the well done and truthful is an honor,a true compliment

Paul said " As we said before so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed. For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men , I would not be a bond-servant of Christ" (Galatians 1:9,10)
Respect is nice, I prefer respect; but if it is a choice between earning the respect of man or the approval of God, by the grace of God I hope I choose the latter.

Of course i would like to be respected for my views and my beliefs.
Everyone has there own view and beliefs.

But not everyone can sit down and listen to others and respect them .

You can't be a "people pleaser", that is being untrue to yourself. You can as someone once told me "soft peddle the truth", which is diplomacy. I am not very good at that. I tend to speak my mind. I think we all want respect of our fellowman. But I don't think that you should sell your soul or yourself for it.

I think everyone wants to be respected but of course, most often you have to give respect to get it.

depends on the person...i have no need for the respect of an individual that is immorral or evil. I am more interested in pleasing god than people.
