Earlier a person posted a most perfect question about judgeing. We are commanded to judge.

John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Matthew 1:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Matthew 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

John 12:24
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

All these verses are telling us to judge.

We can judge, and its often nessiary but on the same token by the same measure we judge, so shall we be judged.

Matt 7:2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

In other words, if you judge someone because they lie, you will be judged on lies you have told. If you judge someone on sexual immorality, so will you also be. If you judge someone claiming they believe false doctrine, you will be judged on every false doctrine you believe. No even though we SHOULD judge, it is better we dont and show mercy since we all have things to be judged on.

Judge Righteous Judgment
Try the spirits to see if they are God
Comparing spiritual things with spiritual Things, or one against the other
By their fruits you will know them

But I say we should not be judges to criticize or condemn

But in Love we should walk

Love covers a multitude of sins

Also we should conduct ourselves as it becomes Christ

The only judging we should not do is to judge whether a person will ultimately be saved or not. We don't know the heart work that God is doing on that person. But to judge a person as a sinner, we can see, can't we?

We all should judge each other; the measurement being; Good thoughts & works vs. Bad thoughts and works, with some compassion thrown in.

You also forgot about the log in your own eye.

The first quote means not to judge outward appearances.
Your third quote is just repeating the second quote, and the fouth quote is really the opposite. It is not telling us to judge one another, but that those who reject Christ's words has ONE that judges him. So that fourth one really does not help your arguement.

I don't think you've supported your statement very well

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone

So you must judge yourself first before you can even think of judging others????

I don't need to be instructed to know the necessity of judgment and that it is not always inherited but requires education and experience as in higher degrees of judgment .(e.g.) higher courts have difficult standards for the placement of magistrates and
judges. the contribution of the bible is a mere pittance in comparison to the judicial system and the latter needs work still!

Being cautious due to poor fruit and passing judgement are different, I think.
