I dont think it has anything to do with my own choice to want those feelings they have just been there since I was young, I would never choose that lifestyle, but why was I burdened with this in my life and how do I get rid of it.

Your question could be replaced with any other weakness and I would still give this exact answer.

Please do not think that I am addressing just homosexuality.

We all have weaknessess (thorns in the side), this is a result of our sin nature. Paul prayed diligently for God to remove his thorn in his side. God did not remove it, but told Paul, My grace is sufficient for you. Paul understood this and tried to explain it to us.

Sometimes we need our weakness in order to be in constant rememebrance that God is with us and will continue to be with us. Lets say, you had no weaknessess at all, would you forget that you need to lean on God and that there is no way you could get through this life on your own?

I have my own weaknessess, and I do understand the desire of the flesh for what we cannot have. I lean on God, and if these desires and weaknessess never completely go away, that is ok, because it keeps me in constant remembrance that I need God for everything, not just help with controlling a sinful desire.

first thing to do is to accept that you are being tempted .
each person is faced with temtation in there life. for some its sex with someone other then there spouse . for others its ......... insert all most any thing you can think of there.
God will not give you more then you can bear. God will lead you from temtation if you ask him and are willing to accept the path that he has laid out for you . life is like a mountain climb .
we are all climbing the same mountain and its a big one but not all of us are taking the same route up the mountain. there is ways to get up that mountain that from my view point seem so simple its seems unfair. yet i know that the really good mountain climbers dont settle for the simple way up they instead go for the harder ways. if the goal in life is to be the best we can be and to make it to the top then when i think about it when i see the others going up the easiest route to the top of the mountain i know that they are doing the best they can but the simple fact is that if they were to try and get up there on the path i am on they would not make it . now sure there are people who are doing this climb on routes that are more difficult then me . but thats ok .
so long as each of us remembers that it was not
GOD THAT SET THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US AND HIM IT WAS US THAT DID THAT WITH SATANS HELP THE MOUNTAIN IS CALLED SALVATION AND THE ROCKS ARE CALLED MOMENTS. THE ROUTE IS CALLED THE TEST AND THE SUCCESSFULL CLIMBER IS CALLED SAVED .
i am sorry that on your route there is this temtation to sin in the form of wrongfull sex but you know its not something you alone can shake off and you know its something that you must not give into if you do each time you would its just another whip agaist the back of Christ . and another day of pain for him because you gave into this little temtation. remember satan came to Christ and offered him more then we can imagine all of it was sin but he did not take it instead he trusted his father and now we are to trust him and his father and the holy ghost to lead us up that mountain on the path that will keep satan behind us and Christ ahead .

I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that G-d made you the way you are and accepts you as you are. The bad news is that you have a fundamental disagreement with the way G-d made you.

It seems that you are homosexual, and that's okay. But you don't have to make a 'lifestyle' of it; living as a homosexual is very much like living as a heterosexual - except you enjoy relationships with members of your gender.

Look, I'm not being glib. I understand your dilemma and sympathize with you. But you have to come to terms with what you believe, how you feel about G-d, what you think He really wants from you -- no one can tell you the answers to those questions. This has to be between you and G-d; don't let ANYONE interfere.

Its not a choice. People cant help what they feel sexurally attracted to.

You could try to date someone of the opposite sex. But you know what, you are never going to feel for them what you need. You might be able to love them, but not in a deeper sense. First of all, you will not feel sexurally or romantically in love with them, and you need thsoe things for a relationship. You will also feel as though you are betraying him and yourself.

No matter what anyone says, being gay is more than sex, it is about love. It mightbe hard, but eventually you will love someone who is your same gender, and it will be ok.

IN the bible it saysthat all sins are equal. People who try to make homosexuality worse than any other sin have some issues within themselves.

Who are we to say what god approves or does nto approve. If you loce god with your heartand belive in him, then I am sure he will love you back. God loves every one. Some poeple claim to loev god, but yet they are mrean to homosexurals. God said that we all have sin, and if they are mean to others than they are not living by god words.

You can't get rid of it. You can trearphy, but those are proven not to help. They can make people crazy. You have to look to god yourself. He will give you your own answers. Go to many curches and Gay Inforamtion meeting if you need to. All differnt types. Some curches dont discriminate aginst homosexualty.

The best advice I, or anyone can give you, is to look to god for yourself. Dont pray that he will make you not gay, that will not work. Pray that he can show you how you can love and understadn yourself.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.Ephesians 6:12

You are a Christian and I hope you will 100% believe what I will say,
This is 100% the devil trying to lead you into temptation
God never would make you this way, Call On Jesus Christ to deliver you because Homosexuality is an adomination to God, he does not condone it and do not get sucked into believing that Our Holy God would except this.

The feelings you are feeling is demonic,
some how you have opened your mind either through pornography, a friend, a movie, music etc.
Somehow the opening of yor mind has brought about a demon that is bringing these feelings of homosexulaity on you.

It is very important that you pray and in Jesus Name Rebuke this everythime these thoughts and desires come one you.

Pray: In Jesus Name I command these demons of lust and Homosexual thoughts to leave me now!

Denounce in Jesus name this life style and speak back to this evil that you are a child of Christ and you are delivered from this Homexexual Temptation. Denounce everything that has opened you mind and ask God to help you and forgive you-

This will take much prayer and do not be afraid to bring this to a Pastor or Elder in your Church. If you feel you cannot go to your church for prayer then

According to the Vedic understanding the reason one may have those feelings is because they where in the opposite body in a previous life. (If a woman in this life they you where a man in a previous life and because of Karma and desire you became a women in the is life but still have the sexual preference from the previous life. It is really a simple understanding, but one has to understand Karma and Reincarnation. The Christian Essenes do. For more info write me.

Its perfectly normal to be a christian and to be a homosexual. Homosexuality is something you are born with and nothing to be ashamed of. God loves everyone no matter who you are. Go and find a christian congregation that will accept you for who you are.

You did not choose this. It is a part of who you are. Only you can decide how to reconcile with it, no other has the right.

However, in giving my opinion only, I would not recommend repressing it. If you do it will always haunt you.

Blessings on your path and may you find the peace that you seek.

Edited to add: If you wish to stay Christian you may consider the Episcopol Church, they do not condemn homosexuality.

i'd suggest that you be who you are and not be fearful and ashamed, find friends who accept you for the good person you are, find a partner whom you can love and be loved by and have a good life but since you're a Christian i guess that idea is out of the question. i guess you'll just have to be a repentant abomination until you can convince yourself you're hetero.

We as Humans have what is called a sin nature.
different people have a tendacy to sin in different ways,
Some "tend to sin by habitual lying, others by stealing ,still others by homosexuality.
God may or may not deliver you from that temptation,
Paul wrote that he fought the good fight he finished the race he kept the faith, he did not say he won it.
Christianity is not about being perfect.
It is about fighting it, it is the fight that makes us stronger.
Christ won perfection for us on the Cross, we dont have to win the fight or the race, but we have to finish it.
Will we fall from time to time? yes, but afterwards we repent, pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and try again, this is what we do until our death,
