Where this saying comes from is that in ancient cities there were robbers on camel routes. The walls to the cities were high, the doorways narrow. You had to unload your camel to get through the eye of the needle.

And what this means to us is that we must get unloaded from who we thought we were. We are not a machinist, not a computer specialist, etc. We must ask ourselves: "What am I not?" I'm not my house, not my car, not my relationships. We are no thing. Once we realize this, it will be pretty easy to go through the eye of a needle then.

It would make sense that some people base their entire life on who they are and what they have and not want to let go of it.

Does this make sense to you? And will you be able to let go of it yourself?

Whenever atheists make arguments against Christians, one will likely cite the Crusades, Inquisition, you know the rest. But many atheists claim that atheism is completely peaceful, but there are many examples of atheism inspired violence, like Columbine, or the Roman-Christian persecution and stake burnings. So how come nobody ever brings this up? I'm looking for a non-biased answer. Thank you.

Sometimes I really hate christians. I don't want them dead but sometimes their inability to understand the simplest things digs under my skin. Anything that might threaten their faith has a big brick wall built against it. It really seems to make them ignorant to a lot of things. It would seem unhealthy to bottle this hatred so I must find a way to express it, right?

Im not one to prejudge. Ill make a decision after I meet someone. Christians have always told me that i am going to hell and I chose that. Gays always tell me that my hair looks nice and to have a wonderful day. Its strange how christians think that they should spend eternity in paradise and gays should be tortured and have their flesh burned off for an eternity.

The general community now accept that homosexuals were born that way. It is also well know that the homosexuals make up a significant portion of the population. With Christians faith and membership at and all time low the Vatican will soon start thinking of new ways to find new members who will pay their 10%. Homosexuals will accept Christianity when Christianity accepts them. Then the vatican will find a way to minupulate the words in the bible to say that homosexual will still go to heaven. What do you think?

i'm just wondering how many people are aware of the fact that Muslims DO NOT believe that only Muslims can go to heaven. It is said in the Quran that so long as you believe in One God and live a good life you will have your reward.

the Quran also mentions that it is wrong to say, "mine is the only way to God."

[2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

2:113] The Jews said, "The Christians have no basis," while the Christians said, "The Jews have no basis." Yet, both of them read the scripture. Such are the utterances of those who possess no knowledge. GOD will judge them on the Day of Resurrection, regarding their disputes
