i'm just wondering how many people are aware of the fact that Muslims DO NOT believe that only Muslims can go to heaven. It is said in the Quran that so long as you believe in One God and live a good life you will have your reward.

the Quran also mentions that it is wrong to say, "mine is the only way to God."

[2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

2:113] The Jews said, "The Christians have no basis," while the Christians said, "The Jews have no basis." Yet, both of them read the scripture. Such are the utterances of those who possess no knowledge. GOD will judge them on the Day of Resurrection, regarding their disputes

***my question is this…. (1) are there any non-Muslims out there who might concur with this belief? (2) is this the first time you have heard this?

(I’ve seen many ppl post about this incorrectly)

I think is a wonderful thing to accept that others with different believe can also go to heaven, but the person is still trapped in this matter of believe. What about if what a person believes has nothing to do with reality..? It is a well known fact that the mind can creates it own reality outside reality, the mind can see and hear things with no existence outside it own inner most world. What if all that rubbish about God, judgment day, end of day, heaven an hell are just fantasies in febrile minds.

I was unaware that Muslims believed that. But, I'm fine with that sort of thinking because as a child I used to believe that every religion was true and that when people died they went to the heaven that they believed in. Then I started thinking it was all the same heaven but people from different religions would see it differently once they got there. I still somewhat feel that way. Anything is possible and I really think it will all work out very well for everyone in the end. (I think my anti-depressants are kicking in...)

I am thankful to you because I could not have said it in a better way. I mentioned that fact more than once in my answers to offensive questions about Muslims, but unfortunately I always got more thumbs down than thumbs up. I guess people are not willing to believe it although it is as true as can be. Why else would we, Muslims, say something like that?!!! I wish they would only use their heads before answering your question.
People think Muslims make different remarks, while in fact it is either false statements by non-Muslims or by people who mean to induce more hate against us. Muslims never said anything different, some people claim Muslims did and spread the false word around.

I am only taught and have read in the Holy Bible that we MUST accept Jesus as our saviour and be born again before we can enter into the Kingdom of God. This is not my words, but the words of Jesus in the New Testament. He says that no one can get to God except through Him (Jesus).

No offense or anything meant by this answer to the Muslim's, but this is what the Holy Bible reads.

Flexibility in belief is really non-belief. This is what Satan wants you to think - that much of what you do doesn't really matter and that you are free to behave any way you like. The true path is a narrow one, not a six-lane freeway.

The Bible states that even Satan believes in God but he trembles. God now directs all men everywhere to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ because as it states "There is no other name given under heaven among men whereby they MUST be saved"
