1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

God can deffend Himself but we should speak about why we believe.

God doesn't need us to defend Him against His enemies. He'll take His vengeance out in His own time. The enemies of God will know His wrath.

We are to spread His truth. We are to be the light in a dark and evil world. We are to be defenders of the truth wherever and whenever that truth is being perverted and twisted by the ungodly. God uses all kinds of servants in all kinds of ways, to accomplish this end.

Mat 7:6 Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to peices.

Psalm 14:1 The fool says in his heart. "There is no God," They are corrupt, their deeds are vile: there is not one who does good.

Proverbs: 26:4 When arguing with fools, don't answer their foolish arguments, or you will become as foolish as they are.

We should not try to argue with a fool because it will only make them proud and determined to win the argument. In some situations it is better not to even answer a fool, because you cannot penetrate their closed minds.

The universe has 1 billion trillion stars in it.........not 1 trillion.....not 10 trillion.....not 100 trillion..... but 1BILLION TRILLION. That's a pretty big universe. God created it all, not to mention all the physical laws and all the order and design and the complexities of life. He created all that. I don't think He needs a personal body guard or anyone else to DEFEND Him.

Paul the apostle said we need to tear town every argument that raises itself against God. That means knowing who you believe and why you believe and actively sharing it. God does not need our defense but he has commanded that we engage the world with the message of Christ. Paul often went into the market places and reasoned with people through the Sctriptures.

i think that if someone is yelling out in the street something that defaces what god stands for i will defend him. but if someone is on national tv screaming that he does not exist, there's is nothing i can do but let him say whatever he wants. because no matter how many scientific theories i hear i am never goin to stop believing in god.

Nope, God can defend Himself. He was doing it long before you or I showed up to attempt to do it. I think He's got it covered. We're just supposed to follow His leading.

"For I have appointed a day in which I will judge the world"

I think that's pretty clear, God will be the one taking care of business.

Can I get an Amen from my christian brothers and sisters who know that we can trust God to judge things perfectly.

Why would an all-knowing, all-powerful being need mere mortals to defend him?

If I were him, I'd be more interested in getting my sheep to defend my actions - or lack thereof.

Christians aren't defending God, they are defending themselves. They see the abyss which looms before them and fear to be pushed within by the blind and ignorant masses around them. Wouldn't you?
