Like all good Darwinian scientists understand, they'll just have to have faith that one day science will answer that question.

Ohhh I love these challenging questions, here's my opinion. Take what you will of it.
Souls are infinite, which is a science already that is precluded in philosophy and theology. Infinity reminds me of Star Trek, a boundary, perhaps between space and time. I know humans have souls, they change colors, communicate and run 24 hours a day.
I don't know if this is an answer, just some thought provoking conjecture. Thank you for reading.

Scientists study and try to find souls all the time. Some are more successful than others. And those who go looking with their eyes and hearts closed find nothing. Is this really so surprising?

Soul science. I like that, it sounds like a MoTown group from the 1960's.

Simple as that.

There is no motivation to research something you can't sense (and I mean nothing, no machine, nobody) and can't prove. Not even an influence can be detected. Sorry, don't think so. Scientists don't waste their time like that. Who would pay for it?

Much as god, heaven, hell, satan and angels are all man-made myths, the soul is another invention, created to explain just HOW you will get to the afterlife when you die. it's a LIE.
