you'll get a variety of answers because not all Christians believe exactly the same on this. I think mental illness should be treated medically, psychiatrically, and through faith and prayer. I believe God heals thru medical care as well as thru faith.

I go to a Christian counsellor, and he believes that therapy, medication, and faith can all play a role in healing.

Depends on the Christian, I dont think there's anything wrong with trying therapy and medication for mental disorders.

Both...its beliefs have never spoke against medicine or worldly healing. My pastor approves and encourages me attending a 12 step program, I was a drug addict.

If G-d was against it, Luke (a doctor) would never have been an author in the new testament.
