I don't have the Priesthood in my home, and I normally don't read the Priesthood Session of the conference Ensign, but this last issue, I really enjoyed President Faust's talk. It kind of surprized me, because I normally don't feel comfortable reading the Saturday Evening General Conference talks.

take the phrase Vicarius Filii Dei(which ties in with catholicism), it adds up to 666. some kabbalahists view it as a holy day. in some pagan beliefs a numerical chart for each planet has the sun added up to 666, and therefore 666 represents the sun. man created numbers.

Everyone has probably recieved their Ensign by now, so what's your favorite? If you're responsible for picking out a talk for those on letter routes in Visiting Teaching, which one did you choose?

I chose Elder Scott's talk to send out, but I also liked Elder Hales talk, as well as President Faust's Priesthood talk.

Islam only means peace to Muslims who blindly submit. To Christians Islam means war, persecution and death.

The Qur'an says: "Fight and slay the pagans [Christians] wherever ye find them and seize them, confine them, and lie in wait for them in every place of ambush" (Surah 9:5)

* Contrary to Muslim rhetoric that claims Islam means peace, the truth is that the word Islam does not mean peace, but "Submission" as this authority verifies: "The term Islam in the lexicon of the Arabs means 'Submission' to God." (Islam, Beliefs And Observances, Caesar E. Farah, p2-7, 26-35)

* Islam still bears the stigma in the West of a religion of violent fanatics, bent on conversion at all costs. Yet the Arabic word Islam means "submission" or "surrender," as in surrender to God; it also derives from salam, the Arabic word for "peace." Both meanings are present in the actual experience of Islam. And a Muslim (the spelling preferred to Moslem) is "one who submits" or surrenders to the will of Go

Why can't Christian Americans be political without enduring the bitterness of the moral bankrupt? This is a question that I would like some intelligent answers to. If you can't do anything but name-calling, don't answer.

"There is no absolute truth except one, and that is that there are no absolute truths."

In the new age movement, people are allowed to believe what they want to believe, no questions asked. yet, how can you believe your own truth, but still believe that there are no absolute truths? What do you think of the new age movement?

So Jesus walked on water in the middle of the ocean:

Well thats pretty cool, being I did the same thing this past summer, when I was in Hawai, as a matter of fact, a lot of us did, see in the middle of the ocean there was a Ice-Berg.

And we all, well all who wanted to, was able to get of the ship and walk on it, and just like Jesus, I walked on water in the middle of the ocean!!!!! And yes it was frozen water, but Christ never said, the water he walked on wasn't frozen also, you all, just assumed it wasn't frozen, or maybe never even thought about it!!!!

So explain this one!!!!
