Abortion is murder
Murder is sin

I won't use the term murder, but it all depends on whether you think it is a sin to end the life of an unborn, living, human being. Additionally, I think there are times when something isn't a sin depending on the circumstances, e.g. in the bible there were times when it was okay to have multiple wives or concubines, or it was okay to offer blood sacrifice, or it was okay to perform labor on the Sabbath. So, I think in certain circumstances there may be exceptions to the abortion being a sin, such is why I believe many people think exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother are legit exceptions.

If you consider life to begin at the moment of conception and if you consider the forceful ending of a life (killing) to be a sin, then yes, abortion is a sin.

It's a sin if you believe it is. That's why abortion needs to remain legal.

I have to say this so often, I have saved a copy to facilitate my efforts at educating people on this issue.

1. There is no one definition of "human" "life" on which all people agree. Some believe it begins at conception, others think it's after a certain amount of fetal development, and still others believe it doesn't "happen" or "begin" until birth.

2. Therefore, the question of when "human life" begins is one that cannot be answered by science. If you can't define what you're trying to test for, you can't create a test for it.

3. Therefore, the question of when "human life" begins is left for the individual to decide, based on personal experience, personal morals, personal opinion, and personal faith.

4. Hence, the question of when life begins, being as it is something only answerable by one's personal beliefs, is in itself a MATTER OF PERSONAL BELIEF. It is an religious or spiritual mystery. (Yes, even if you are an atheist.)

5. Since the question of when life begins is a matter of personal belief, the question of whether abortion is murder is also a matter of personal belief.

6. Since the question of whether abortion is murder is a matter of personal belief, the law should stay out of it.

You are asking a question that has been rocking the very foundation of the White House. Personally, I believe that at conception there is life. And being a quote unquote Jesus freak, the commandment THOU SHALT NOT KILL is the answer to your question. Beyond that, I know a couple girls who had either chose to or their parents forced them to abort. Now that they are older and wanting a family, they cannot carry full term. So not only is it a sin in my book, but it is also unhealthy and should not be considered as an alternative to abstinence. Prayers to you.

I believe so bc the Lord said he knew us before we were made and that he knitted us in the womb. Besides, the ten commandments say 'thou shall not kill'. Definition of killing is taking another person's life or stopping their life source. If it has a hearbeat, it has life. The good news is it is a forgivable sin bc we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God =)

In Islam it is because you are murdering a child. New scientific evidence emerges all the time proving that babies can feel VERY early on. Who can possibly claim that killing (or terminating if you want the pc term) a baby that can feel pain is NOT a sin?

In most religions it is considered a sin.

It is a grievous sin because it is the taking of an innocent human life for convenience, for self-gain, or to escape a difficult situation.

But it is a sin forgivable by God.
