If you notice, they're all about how you were born into sin, their crucifix always has Jesus hanging on it, suffering, ect.

All the other religions are usually just the cross itself, and focus more on hope and faith.

It almost seems to me that Catholicism is negative and depressing.

I know I'll make several people mad by asking this question, but I'm curious as to people's opinions on the subject.

Then why not work to eliminate poverty?

Why not work to make all methods of birth control available for everyone, regardless of whether they can afford it?

Why not work to eliminate the many forms of abuse, rape, and incest that often leads to abortion?

Why not remember that sometimes medical or the aforementioned abuse reasons and some individual situations for which we cannot guess, can warrant abortion?

And Why oh why, do you anti-women's rights groups insist on treating the fetus as all-important and then stop caring about it and support policies that will make it much harder for it to survive once its born? Such as reduction in funding for poor parents, the insistence on death penalty, utter disdain for the children being killed, orphaned, or desperately injured in Iraq?

Soldiers go to wars, something God doesn't like very much, one of the Ten Commandments says "Thou Shalt Not Kill". Well Soldiers go to wars and kill, even though is for their own defense, they are still killing people no matter how evil the other people are. It is said that nobody has a right to kill anybody because God made us all and only he can do that, he made us, he gets rid of us, only he chooses, not us. So what do you guys think, do our Soldiers go to hell??

I'm gonna be a Soldier pretty soon, i just wanna get your opinion on this because my sister-in-law says i will go to HELL! :(

I was having a conversation with someone yesterday about how having a ritual can help in letting go of someone. When thinking about rituals pagan and wiccan rituals came to mind. I'm not pagan or wiccan myself I'm agnostic however I have read a bit into both. I suppose my mind popped to witchcraft first because I like the thought put in to the spells and rituals. So when it comes to letting go of friends, family, or other loved ones, what ritual or spell do you or would you use? Is there some importance to you about that ritual or spell that helps you move on? Any links on the matter would be great to. I didn't have much luck on Google, to many money making websites lol.

I posted a thoughtful comment in the question about why Christians say Catholics are not Christians. Can you tell me where I am wrong?

BTW: I DID NOT say Catholics are not Christians, so don't go there. Read my post before commenting.

I was thinking about it because a strong Jedi can use the Force to do all of those Jedi mind tricks. Of course Jesus would also have a light saber.

A lot of people say that certain things make God angry, but has anyone actually met God and asked him what pushed his buttons?

If there were certain things that made God angry, don't you think this God would eventually take care of them? Is it really anyone's place to do that job for this God?

my friend came up to me and seeing that my necklace's clasp was turned to the front, said 'make a wish' and then fixed it. I've never heard of this superstition, can anyone cast any light onto this?

The Met Baptist Church has lost 1200 members due to Pastor Sal Seberno signing our Church up with WillowCreek.Org and without knowledge of the members. The Church was so wonderful and big and you felt the presence of the Holy Spirit.~~Now, no Choir, loud band, no respect shown for the Church. Pastor never wears a suit, canned messages are coming out of WillowCreek. This is a big church with a lot going for it but this Pastor when told Members were leaving in droves said 'Let em leave' I'm not changing a thing. We are moving our membership to Second Baptist, Dr. Ed Young is a man who is God Centered in Houston, Texas
