A lot of people say that certain things make God angry, but has anyone actually met God and asked him what pushed his buttons?

If there were certain things that made God angry, don't you think this God would eventually take care of them? Is it really anyone's place to do that job for this God?

I made no mention of any bible, mind you.

And Pamela V, you're an idiot. Not everyone with AIDS is a homosexual.

Since everyone seems to mention this bible, I ask this:

People who lived before the bible was written did not have any clue as to what made God angry?

Most people can tell when they have done something which might disappoint others. We all can hear that inner voice which sometimes speaks to us whenever we do something wrong. I believe that this is God talking to us.

I don't thing God will be angry with us, but I think that He waits to see if we will
acknowledge our mistakes and try to do better.

I don't think any one should judge another on God's behalf.

God loves you. This is fact. No matter what, God loves you and wants to give you every chance physically possible to love Him. Even if it takes ninety or a hundred years, He's willing to wait. God will never give up on you and God will not punish you by causing an early death. You die according to man and yourself, not by God's hand. People seem to think God will do this or do that to those who don't believe. He will not interfere with your life and your faith. What is a hundred years to God? It's said that a thousand years for us here on earth is a day in God's realm. You will not make God angry. Who do you think you are that a small person like yourself can make God Almighty angry? That's laughable. God is love. Pure and simple, He is love and His love is absolute and pure. You'll not make Him mad, you don't have either the relationship or the means to make God mad.

People who say that god will be angry over 'such and such' use this to qualify their own anger or prejudice against the subject in question, this is my own idea I'm sure some will disagree.
Moreover, It is easy to condemn someone's actions using the bible to cite evidence, because that book was supposedly written 2000 years ago, how can it have realistic relevance when contrasted to today's society?

Well, there are certain things that the Biblical writers portray as angering God, and these things recurr throughout both the Old and New Testaments. God continually calls people to justice, to caring for the poor, the helpless, like widows and orphans, it is ignoring these things that God condemns.

The bible itself is full of actions of people hearts that make him angry.

Yet, he is slow to anger.

God will eventually take care of them and us for that matter. It is written what makes him angry and what he will eventually do about the rejection of his word and his way.

It is no ones place to do Gods end result for him and no one could. Obeying the laws of your country and your leaders is something we are told to do by God. If those rules and laws are broken there are punishments set in place.

Judgement (eternal) is for God and God alone to determine, what when and where. We couldnt do that job if we tried.

Yes, I have met God and you can also. Read his word and pray for him to reveal himself to you. Remember to not set conditions on how and when he will do this or in what form. Setting conditions for God is tandamount to "ordering" him around and that will also never work.

Ummm. Its made pretty clear in the Bible.

Also, God will take care of them eventually, but not in the way that you think He will.

Everyone wants God to just behave like they would, they want him to be a military leader, they want him to go destroy everyone who's not them and not like them.

That's NOT how God is.

God, if he proves anything in the Bible, proves that he does not act as humans would!

When you read the Bible you find out all you need to know about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. That is how we find things out about God and what He likes and does not like. May God Bless

Because it's written in the Bible. You have to read it to know.

Well, let's see.....God says homosexuality is an abomination to Him. AIDS has killed HOW MANY homosexuals? Is this God's way of dealing with them? I say that homosexuality makes God angry and I'm not giving them AIDS. Where is it coming from? Is this His way of "taking care of them?"

Just a thought.

I think God's anger doesn't matter as much as His love; in other words he may be angry at me but if I truly repent he will forget his anger and forgive me. After all, God is love, not anger.
You're right, btw: it's not really anyone's place to condemn. After all, Jesus told us to "judge not".

if you read God's holy Bible
Then you will know what makes him happy
and what makes him angry

No secret there pal

God doesn't change
he is the same yesterday, today and tommarow

and yes it is our Job to speak for God because God uses his people to speak through-

Those who don't speak for God and share his word are really not on God's side

Amen
