Faith is usually defined as belief beyond evidence, in other words, you believe something, such as god, without any evidence.

faith click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faith ----"faith refers to belief beyond evidence or logical arguments, sometimes called "implicit faith"--wiki

Agnosticism is having a belief in a deity, while believing the existence of that deity is inherently unknowable. so, from the point of view of an agnostic, they can believe in god and also believe there is no evidence to prove gods existence. thus, belief without evidence.

agnosticism click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnosticism ----"theological claims regarding metaphysics, afterlife or the existence of God, god(s), or deities — is unknown or inherently unknowable" ---wiki

christians and many different religions seem to always have evidence for their belief in god's existence. From this point of view they would not have faith, for faith is belief without evidence.

so, it seems that agnostics are the ones with faith, while the thesist (christians etc...) are the one without faith. maybe that explains the many problems with todays religions.

typical answers are a misunderstanding of the terms of faith and agnostic, so, I left some links to some credible sources for understanding the terms.

I had a dream last night that I found a tiny baby girl, outside, in the middle of nowhere, at night. It had been attacked by a skunk and I thought she was dead. But she was ok after a little while and I ended up keeping her.

Any ideas on what this means?

I think not. They need a feminine and masculine role in their lives. Two of the same is uneven. Agree?

There is no need to bring children into a demonic relationship.

Fine, have a gay relationship, but don't drag the kids to hell with you.

And cheerfully refund every last penny they ever gave to the offering plate from the time they were small children--after all, they were giving freely expecting God's love in return, and He reneged on the deal, so it's only fair, right?

What religious group would I be in? I believe in God, and I believe he created the world, but I have a hard time believing most of the stuff that's written in the Bible. (And I should know alot about it. My father's a retired Baptist preacher).

Reverse Christians accept the Bible as absolute truth but still choose Hell over Heaven out of belief that all men should be equals. If my fellow man cannot attain Heaven then neither should I since I am not better than my fellow man, etc...

Okay, this sounds nuts, but here's the deal. My fiance came to me today and told me that last night she had a "vision" of God when she was in bed (I was not there). Not just a vision, but a "message" that she "didn't have a lot of time", and that she need to make sure her loved ones knew how much she loved them. My fiance is not crazy, and it took her all day to get up the nerve to tell me about this experience. It affected her very deeply, and she's been crying off and on all day because of this experience. She says she was wide awake, sitting up in bed, so it was not a dream. Rather, the voice woke her from her sleep. She said that initially she felt very at peace about it, but as she laid in bed afterwards and thought about what had happened it frightened her alot. She wasn't able to get back to sleep. Anyone had similar experiences? She is so genuine and has no reason to make this up. It has very much affected her emotionally.

I understand the concept of not allowing a person to hold a leadership position, while engaged in an actively immoral lifestyle. I wouldn't want an active alcoholic or adulterer teaching my kids' Sunday school class.

However, hasn't NC gone a bit far when they now say that they will "oust" any congregation who accepts homosexual members?

What happened to our autonomy? Does the convention (and its affiliate churches) now have a right to deny membership to anyone they please?

Where does this leave churches who actively reach out to the homosexual community?

Don't write anything except for your definition of God. I don't care what your opinion of religion is; or whether or not you hate sin; or what this God will do to me; or if this God will save me; or any mention of Jesus.

Just write "God - ..." with the definition after the dash, and that's it.

It says in the bible that women are not allowed to speak in the church. Why dont christians follow this rule?

1 Corinthians 14:33-35 states, "...As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."
