my friend came up to me and seeing that my necklace's clasp was turned to the front, said 'make a wish' and then fixed it. I've never heard of this superstition, can anyone cast any light onto this?

i heard somewhere that if the clasp comes to the front, someone's thinking about you. i asked my friend, but she said that she only knew you had to make a wish because another friend had told her so! thanks to all who answered!!

the story goes that if the clasp of the chain comes all the way down and touches the charm, it's supposed to signal good luck and you're supposed to make a wish before you fix it.
I don't know how that story got started, and I have no stats on how accurate it is.

Ahh it's like the tradition of making a wish b4 blowing out the candles on one's birthday cake... no one really expects it to come true. You're friend is probabaly repeating some kind of tradition; why don't u ask him/her?
P.S. Hope this doesn't offend u :)

Can't cast any light on it, but it's been around a long time.

Superstition is a waste of time. It doesn't work.
