Bill Clinton. Not sure of his religion because he did not make a big deal about it. When he left office the deficit was at 0 (zero). He tried to get Bin Laden but the republican congress would not allow him. Ken Starr spent how many millions of dollars to investigate a bj. I read his book, very interesting reading from a very intelligent and articulate man.

I would give JFK another chance.
Wouldn't vote Lincoln because he was anti-slavery. Most people think he did good by abolishing slavery, but he didn't want to do away with slavery because he cared about how blacks felt. He wanted it abolished because of how it was affecting HIM and other whites during that time, getting rid of slavery made more economical sense and helped white northerners gain political power due to the 3/5th's compromise during that time. Fewer blacks meant less population representation in the South, and more for the North, giving them an advantage politically.
Jefferson was a slave owner! Not to mention raped slave women! Also, his ideas for getting the colonies out of debt during that time were lacking a little real logic.
Washington? Another slave owner from Virginia. Rich plantation owner.

Abraham Lincoln without doubt. Spiritual beliefs are irrelevant. Most of our presidents have not had strong religious convictions, and don't need to in order to be a good president, actually, it's probably better if they don't.

James Madison.
Madison was both statesman and able commander in chief.
Honest, intelligent, clear thinking and tough.
We could use some of that.
He was raised in the Church of England and was later an Episcopalian. He was one of the first outspoken champions
of the separation of church and state.

How about another George. Like Washington. A warrior who was familiar with terrorist tactics. and spent his presidency taking care to provide a good moral example to all presidents who followed him.

I'd re-elect Al Sharpton. He did a great job the last time. We should give him another go.

Abraham Lincoln. He did make a few mistakes, some that unknowingly helped his assassins. But, every president has made them, and his good outweighed his bad by far, so...yeah.

FDR. I wouldn't care if he were a fundie. He had the right ideas about the working man, and changed so so much for blue-collar families. On top of everything else he did.
