Forget about religion and the god you believe in for a moment. Pretend that god is an intelligent being although not all-knowing. And he created the entire universe which is a really big place. What if this god was only trying to build planets and galaxies etc. and we were a mistake. How would you feel about that?

My Husband and I recently had a baby He is Roman Catholic and I am Buddhist. He persists that we baptize our child, and I am trying to understand, but what is the purpose/role of a Godmother and Godfather in the Catholic religion? HELP!!!

I read a question on here about How much is God a part of your life?

and when I went to answer I realized that I am the created, so am I not part of His life?

We were made to be in fellowship with him, not for our lives to be filled with Him...

Is this a new way of looking at the same thing, or am I just missing it?

anyone else can answer too, I believe that I can learn from everyone.

thanks

GENUINELY healed you of a heart wound or issue or personal problem you've struggled with for years?
I'm asking because I find a lot of head knowledge without much heart change within my own experience.

you own ? What if you had no radio, no CD's, music, no DVD players, no T.V. ? no......etc etc etc. the list goes on and on and on. Why do you cling to your possessions, why are you so materialistic ? Is this an impt. part of Your Way of Life, accoring to your religions, and your religious books ? And what do your saviours, prophets, teachers, holy books, etc say about "cling to materialism, as you do ?"

God put us on this earth for a reason they say, then what is your purpose... how do you make a difference? Who does this affect? Why should non-religious people care? How do you know that is your calling?

For those holy rollers, my favorite scripture whenever for whatever is Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me O God...

Ever think about it?

What if every religion is just a trap the the devil set in order to choose his victims. How would you feel about that?

My wife is pregnant with what I believe is another mans child.

As born again christians, my wife and I believe abortion to be murder and like many others we believe that abortionists should be killed for what they do.

Since we cannot consider abortion, we want to get rid of the child right away after it is born.

I want to make sure it goes to some born again christians who know right from wrong, decent folk like us.

We do not have much time to go through a long process of papers and whatnot because we have a vacation in Florida already booked for the week following the birth.

Is there some place we can dump the baby where it is guaranteed to go to a born again couple, no questions asked?

Any ideas people?

I just finished reading a novel, Zipporah, Wife of Moses. In the story Moses rescues the daughters of Jethro at the well and one, Zipporah was adopted by Jethro when her boat floated on the sea of reeds with Zipporah and her mother. Her mother died and Jethro raised her as his daughter. It said in the book that she at first refused to marry Moses until he agreed to go back to Egypt and rescue his people from pharoah. The name of the Pharoah was Thutmose 11. Moses was adopted by the old Pharoah's daughter, Hatshepsut. Note-I heard the name Batya as the name of Pharoah's daughter and amongst Jews (I'm Jewish too) she's considered a very holy woman and many Orthodox Jewish girls are given the name Batya in her honor. The book calls Pharoah's daugher Hatshepsut.

I am (as I said above) a Pagan who used to be Christian, so how does that make me evil ? To some people I am evil, but not every one I've talked to sees it that way; and I was thinking is it just fear of the unkown, or the fear of being wrong that makes alot of people believe in something their heart no longer feels is right? I did not loose my faith rather I have found it, and before people start saying I worship their 'Satan' let me point out that I worship The Creator (the ancient Greeks called it Chaos) and Gaea, and no I am not talking about little statue representation of these beings. One of them is shapless and formless (The Creator) and the other is the mother of all being (gods and mortals alike) [Gaea], therefore I do not worship an idol.

A Rabbi, a Christian and a Buddhist were sitting in a boat on a lake. The Rabbi said, "because I have faith in GOD, I can walk on water." He stepped out of the boat and walked to shore. The Chrisian said" Because I have faith in GOD, i too can walk on water". He stepped out of the boat and walked to shore. The Buddhist looked at the water and at his friends. He said" If they can do it, so can I". He stepped out of the boat and tumbled into the water. The Rabbie turned to the Christian and said " do you think we should have told him where the stepping stones are?"

I don't mean evil pagans. Dark ones are the people who study the mysteries of what is hidden. We delve into our own darkness to better understand the light. Our magick comes from the subconscious, the darkness. I can't believe I am the only one. Where are you?
