I read a question on here about How much is God a part of your life?

and when I went to answer I realized that I am the created, so am I not part of His life?

We were made to be in fellowship with him, not for our lives to be filled with Him...

Is this a new way of looking at the same thing, or am I just missing it?

anyone else can answer too, I believe that I can learn from everyone.

thanks

the word says that we are created to be in fellowship with God. So we werent created for just ourselves.

I understand that I have freewill, I am trying to look at a different side of my christian walk.
So many Christians try to fit God into their lives, and I think maybe that is unbalanced.

Awesome! I believe you are diving in deep to the kingdom of GOD.
We know that Jesus was crucified so that we would have a way home to the very throne of GOD in Heaven but did you ever think that maybe in addition to that way back home, GOD wanted to be able to break through the sin and rebellion that separates us from him? You ever have a crush on a guy for no reason? You just thought he was awesome and dreamy? Well you are the bride of Christ sister!!! You are very precious to GOD and so am I. So I think he wouldn't mind if our lives were filled with him. His life is filled with us.
May GOD richly bless you.

Hello there friend

Yes you are right that we were made to fellowship with God,

How does that work? so glad you asked..

We fellowship with God through our spirit cooperating with the Holy Spirit (the holy spirit is the person/ facet of God

We can only fellowship, or "Communicat" with God through the connection with his holy spirit,

His holy spirit literally takes us residence inside of us, and dwells in the deepest part of our being, connected with our spirit.

"I will give you a new heart and a put a new spirit within you"

In the old testament God used to hang out in the inner parts of the temple, right?... stay with me here...

God presence would dwell in the temple behing a veil, (like a curtain) only the preists could go in there.

But when Jesus was crisified "the curtain in the temple was torn from top to bottom" symbolising the release of Gods presence into the world, unrestricted.

God now calls us "Temples" of his holy Spirit, he longs to dwell in us, not to overtake us, but to cooperate or commune us

If you have asked God to come into your life, and you can honestly say that he is Lord, then he dwells within you.

God longs to be enthroned upon our hearts, its his palace, this is the most intimate and closest relationship that can ever exist (Much closer than a sexual relationship)

it is beyond our feelings, and our conscienness, this is why we dont always feel like God is with us, but you will know if he is or not at the same time.

Hope this helps

God should fill every aspect of your life and your life should reflect you honor of him and your willingness to leave the worldly things alone and walk in Godliness. You cannot serve 2 masters. Therefore you cannot profess to be a Christian and not have God be a part of every decision you make. You must be constantly asking yourself is what I am doing for me only or will it glorify God? He has given so much to you that to return it in any small measure is all he wishes.

well, my life is filled with Him. Filled with His love and His spirit. God is not part of my life He is my life. But I am also His life. Why else would He have still sent His son even if I was the only person living? Did you select your name because of the group? I have every cd.

God has put eternity in our hearts, and he made us to have fellowship not only with him but with one another. When God created Adam and Eve, God originally designed his creation to last for ever. However, when sin entered, it broke off the relation- ship and God had to kick Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden. God, because of his Holiness, can not allow sin to dwell in his presence. Yes, we have free will, but we also have to live with the choices that we make. If we chose not to have a relationship with God, then we will spend eternity separated from him in Hell. But if we chose to have a relationship with him, we will spend eternity in heaven with him in fellowship that will never die.

We are called to be filled by the Holy Spirit.
From Eph. 5
17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.[c]

Our lives should be filled with holiness. Philip. 4:

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

When Jesus rose from the dead something very unique happened , He became a life giving spirit so now He has the ability to live inside His believers that is what Gal 2:20 means when it says " it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.."

You are a part of God's life and he should always be a part of yours. For he died on the cross so that on day if you accept him you could go free and live forever in Heaven with him.

God wants to BE your life. He wants an Intimate Relationship with you. To say,"God is part of my life" is to say that He holds only a fraction of your attention. He does want to have fellowship with you, and He wants to fill your life with Himself. He gave everything of Himself for us, we must give everything of ourselves to Him.
