would you be sad that you wasted your life praying to nothing?

If there is no God, then I have two things to consider: Either there is an afterlife, or there is not. If there is none, then there is no me to be sad. If there is, then I hope that I will have lived the life I wanted to.

In any event, I am striving to live a life that I will be proud of when I die. Whether there is or is not some God, Goddess or Deity, I hope that I can be proud of the life I have lived when it is time for me to travel to the summerland.

Well you just got ot belive in Him and ask for a sign anything, and never second guess yourself. People say "I've never been spoken to from God" or "How do I know that He is talking to me?" Well my coolest expierences is when I asked him if this was all real and I prayed long and hard and then I turned on my TV to watch some before I went to bed and the bottom bar read "Yes, Dear" then later when I was working at a camp a kid inspired me to think about heaven and whether I am worthy to have eternal life and then in the skies I saw stars that formed a cross and then somebody said in the distance "he gave you a chance" and I knew that I deserved it and thats it. You just need to pray and listen and be faithful and not second guess....

No I wouldn't, because if I were to believe that God didn't exist and I found out for real He did, then I would bust hell wide open, if I believed all the agnostics or atheists. What would we do if they are all wrong? But I have chosen to believe in God, then when I die I will go to be with Him in heaven where He has prepared a place for the believers. Either way I have nothing to lose but I gain either way. I would rather die believing there is a God and if there wasn't one, just be buried an that's it, then to not believe in God because I listened to the atheists, or agnostics, and bust hell wide open. Get the picture?

I dont look at it as a waste of time. My question to you is what if there is a god? Would you not want to be a part of his kingdom both now and later? Having God in my life has been good for me. It took time for me to realize it but I know now I am better off with him in my life.

It would be sad for those that are religious. It would seem like their was no help for the world to them. I don't know if we'll every be able to prove if there's no god or if there is a god or which god is god until we die and it's the end of the world.

No, you didn't waste you life praying to nothing. At that time you believed in god, so even it there is no god, at least you felt good praying to him.

The Biblical answer is that if there is no God, then Christians are the "most to be pitied":

If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.
1 Corinthians 15:19

But this is not the case because there IS a God and His name is Jesus and He rules the universe!

Who created you, think about it, God loves us so much that He sent His son to die a brutal death for our sins, and to give us eternel life.If we ignore Jesus, God will ignore us, Jesus is the only way.

Sadly, only those who resist God will find out what that it is like.
