Let me start by saying that by posting this question, I do not wish to aggravate anyone. I am simply trying to encourage intellectual debate. Regardless, do you think that Jesus Christ really existed or was he just a fabrication for financial purposes, i.e. cults, etc.

The Romans have no records of his execution or life, and they were the leading historians of the day. Josephus wrote of him, but was around long after Jesus' supposed death. The first Gospel was not wrote until 90 years after his supposed death.

What is your conclusion and your thoughts?

He is also not the incarnation of any God, which would have explained his birth.

I got a knock at the door and it was a churchgoer proselytizing her religion in the neighborhood. They've always made me queasy. Being a Witch, it's difficult for me to talk about religion with people who think I am evil and need to be saved.

Anyway, she asked me what church I go to and I told her that I'm a Witch, and I was prepared for the glare and the finger-shaking, and the "I'll pray for you" speech. But instead, she asked what Witchcraft is like! So I told her a few things about it. And then instead of condemning me, she said that she was glad that I've found spiritual fulfillment!

What a nice lady! Why can't more people be like this?

I'm a 14 year old girl and I have unusually big ears and other girls at school love to tease me about them. When I asked my Sunday school teacher why God made me with such big ears she said God gave me big ears as a gift and that rather than be unhappy with how big they are I should thank God for giving me big ears because He may have given them to me as a blessing to remind me not to be vain and flirtacious and to be a good listener and to learn. So I have been thanking God and I feel much better about my ears now and I see that the girls who tease me are although very beautiful they are also very vain and already looking to sin with boys. What do other people think? Might God have blessed me with big ears as a cross to bear as some kind of lesson? Or what do people think might be the reason for God giving me such big ears?

I am a young practising Christian in the Lincolnshire area but do not get anything out of my usual Church. Im looking for a Church with a younger congregation - people with similar views. With uplifting, energetic services, Christian Music - rather than the usual mundane hymns and organ.

The number 13 is mentioned so many times in Wiccan text. In the wiccan religion, does 13 have any significant meaning or is it just a good number of things to have?

I've read that the Bible gives a vague outline of seven things God does not like but is that really the origin of it all? I've also read that it was Dante's Divine Comedy that first clearly outlined them and then a pope in the 1600s that confirmed the validity of them. So what's the truth?

Suppose you are placed in the following hypothetical situation: You are kidnapped by some evil mastermind named Mr. X. Mr. X injects you with a poison that kills you in 1 hour. Nothing can stop you from dying.

Mr. X introduces you to Louie. Louie trusts you and would follow any advice you give him. Mr. X explains that you are to tell Louie not to follow your religion. It doesn't matter what options are open to Louie; you are to tell him that your religion is false and that Louie must never pursue that faith.

If you do that, Mr. X frees Louie to continue life as usual, except that he is convinced your religion is false and will never convert to your religion. If you allow Louie one shred of belief in your religion, then Mr. X tortures Louie for 45 minutes before killing him in front of your eyes. I know it's crazy rhetoric, but try to treat this as serious. Would you dissuade Louie from following your religion?

Please state your religion along with your answer.

I have had many issues in life, and coping with them is part of life, but i truly believe that "I" got myself into a better situation, Not that fact that i have faith in a higher power.. I feel like i am badgered by folks who tell me religion makes everything better, when deep down inside i disagree. 9/10 of what we hear about religion these days was created by man. Is there anyone else that thinks this way?
