If you knew someone was at home suffering for a cold, would you bring them some chicken soup and some tissue (the kind with the lotion in it) even if they aren't from your background?

If I were the type to naturally bring soup and tissue to my friends/family/neighbors, then yes, I would. Just because someone isn't from the same background as me doesn't play a part in what I do, or why I do it.
However, I don't normally do this type of thing - bring soup, etc to anyone, so while there background doesn't play a part in my decision, I have to say, No, I wouldn't.

You mean like me? I would LOVE some Chicken Soup. It would sooth my raw throat !

And......Yes I would do that. If a Friend, or say a Co - Worker who wasn't from my"background" was sick I would go and Minister to them with a little Chicken Soup, Tissues, and Christian Encouragement.

Now......Can I have some ?

Chicken soup, lotioned tissues, a pair of warm, thermal socks and a couple of DVDs to watch. Would you prefer "Bend it Like Beckham" or "Titanic"?

You'll need some chocolate, too -- plain or peanut?

And a good book -- I recommend Gail Godwin or anything by Al Franken.

A fleece blanket too... let me tuck that around your toes... Cozy?

I hope you feel better soon, honey!

: )

I did that two weeks ago. I went shopping for a sick lady without being asked. While at her house delivering groceries, I cleaned up the living room a, fed her cats and emptied the cat litter box.

I HATE CATS! =/

Yes if I knew them and could call on the phone to see what they needed. I would leave it on the front step because I don't want a cold too.

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace us people don't get colds. Law ppl do.
The God of all comfort is no discomfort at all.

The law is not of faith: Galatians 3:12.
Whatsoever is not of faith is sin: Romans 14:23
Sin, when "it is finished" brings forth death: James 1:15.

Our Father, deliver us from evil: Matthew 6:13
We are delivered from the law: Romans 7:6
What remaineth is y(our) awareness of such.

Law: against you all.
Grace: with you all.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ WITH YOU ALL. AMEN.

God says love your neighbor as yourself
Who is our neighbor? Every human being. So yes if someone were sick it would be the hospitable thing to do to help that person. In fact you would be storing up treasures in heaven for showing love.

OFCOURSE!!
Islam teaches us to be kind to even animals....
then why wouldnt I do good to humans..any race any kind any religion..

Islam teaches us to be kind and help humanity.
Its wrong what they say about Islam being a cruel religion. It tells us to love...or else there ismt a way to please Allah.
Allah says that he will forgive us if we dont pray, dont keep fasts but what he will not forgive is not caring for other human beings. No diference upon religion .

I'm not THAT sensitive. But I would sympathize with their illness by say something stupid like, "Yeah, I had a cold once about ten years ago. Got over it in one day."
