Because we are always afraid we might not see that person again. Plus we're softies! I have a very hard time saying bye to anyone too. From now on just say, "So long for now" and maybe it might not seem to final. See ya! (for now)

Because of the fear of loss. We humans like to be belonged and be secure. And so when our loved ones depart we feel as if a part of us is leaving us.
