If a priest can tell you that you don't need to frequently offer help to a needy person because you will only make him not work to earn a living, do you think that this can inspire, nourish, and satisfy your spiritual desires?

. . . what does that mean? Does the blessing stop at the boarder with Mexico, do tourists, atheists, hindus and pagan natives and people without green cards miss out? And do America companies in say Melbourne Australia, like Mc Donald and kfc get some?

I was reading a question, and somone referred to me(man) that we are filthy rags unworthy of gods love. Well I say if that is so then that would mean were filthy rags, because we have been cleaning up a filthy mess, and whos mess it ours, or the one that was left for us to clean. Sorry i do not mean to offend anyone, but to suggest that we are filthy and not spiritual beings who is capable of great love just sounded ludicrous to me. what are your feelings on this, and please we do not have to be disrespectful to convey our frustration, or anger.

For my wife, she said she would like to stop smoking but she can't.
She took zyban before and it worked, but now she's puffing again.
Seems like the pills are the best solution.

It was actually quite a fair debate for a liberal channel but it was quite shocking that when a white woman pointed out that Britain is a christian country all the lefties in the audeince were making tut tut noises.

Aint it a sad day when you cant make factual comments without fear of upsetting anybody?

I'm very familiar with Star Wars even though they don't go into elaborate detail on the beliefs. But how does this apply to everyday life the way that someone else may be Christian or Pagan? If anyone belongs to this religion, can you explain in detail what it is you believe and how you apply it? I am genuinely curious.

(I saw someone in the Christmas section stating his beliefs were Jedi so I was wondering what that entails)

For the longest time I have always tried to control things, and move obstacles out of my way, because I learned this at a very young age. Now that I have gotten older, I feel that the key to growth is to just set back, and cruise. Do you think that this is a way to approach life, that getting lost sometimes is the way to your destination, instead of always having a road map to point a and b? What do you think?

He created the world. He created us. He created the ability for us to reason, think and choose. He knows everything. Every hair on our head in numbered. He is who allowed the ability of humans to write the Bible. He gave us brains to decipher and eat the forbiddon apple. He gave us the reasoning skills to reason and weakness to not resist temptation.

Here's the question....WHY did he create the world? And please don't answer...for us to praise him. God is too all-knowing for that. He already knew!

Why did Jesus(pbuh) pray if he's Lord?

Jesus always referred to himself as having been sent by God (John 17:3) and his followers, too, considered him a man approved by God (Qur'an 19:37; Acts 2:22, John 3:2).
Jesus prayed to God like all other God-fearing individuals (Luke 5:16), and engaged in spiritual exercises such as fasting (Matt 4:2).
Furthermore, Jesus lacked knowledge of the future (Mark 13:32), as only the Divine Being possesses perfect and complete knowledge.
"And he (Jesus) went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed..."-(MATTHEW 26:39).

This one puzzles me most. If Christianity agree that Jesus is setting examples on how to pray then why Christians not follow it?

And, behold, one came and said unto him (Jesus), "Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but One, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the Commandments.-(MATTHEW 19:16- 1

I was once cornered by a Christian woman doing a street survey on religion in my university city. I told her honestly what I believe (I am a witch, practicing a solitary form of Wicca) and she harangued me about it and told me I was going to hell once I died, even though I explained to her I do not believe in hell either. If you have experienced hostility against you for your religious beliefs, how have you dealt with it?
