For the longest time I have always tried to control things, and move obstacles out of my way, because I learned this at a very young age. Now that I have gotten older, I feel that the key to growth is to just set back, and cruise. Do you think that this is a way to approach life, that getting lost sometimes is the way to your destination, instead of always having a road map to point a and b? What do you think?

How many roads must a man walk down,
Before you can call him a man?
Buy the ticket, take the ride.
You're alright, man.....

Without some type of direction or plan, you will be lost. Life is NOT a free ride. No one gives you hand outs. Life is not easy unless you are rich and can make it on your own or unless mommy and daddy will be there to bail you out. IF you get lost on purpose and want to start a new beginning for yourself that is one thing. Life is what you make it. No one ever said that life was a bowl of cherries, or that it was fair and everything was going to fine. You need to decide yourself what you want out of life and what dreams you want to follow. No one but you can do that. Everyone's brass ring and dreams are different. My dreams and expectations are different from yours. Everyone wants to settle down and have a family and live the American dream, but obstacles get in the way and you need to put things into prospectives and face them one at a time. Getting "lost" is a cop out. No one ever said life was going to be fair... and here is a road map to life. Choices and consequences, if you choose to get lost, then pay the consequences that go along with it,. what ever they are.... You make or break yourself. You are the one who decides what you will or will not be!.

Interesting question,
If we don't learn something in life it would be a shame. It makes life interesting but who says life is not? Everything in life is unpredictable, from one day to the next there are no guarantees.
One thing that we must think about when we are older is our eternal future. The bible states this about having no direction:
Ephesians 4:13-14
13 until we all attain to the oneness in the faith and in the accurate knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of stature that belongs to the fullness of the Christ; 14 in order that we should no longer be babes, tossed about as by waves and carried hither and thither by every wind of teaching by means of the trickery of men, by means of cunning in contriving error.

Depends on the question.
Extremes of any kind are usually unproductive. Too much control or too little are both bad. Blowing in the wind is great, but sometimes you do have to adjust the ailerons to take advantage of a good wind or to avoid obstacles.

Yes and no. It's healthy to have goals and dreams to shoot for in life, even though it can be disappointing sometimes. But, we should be able to roll with the punches also and not be shattered by set-backs or tragedies that all must face.

We all need goals and life maps to succeed in life quicker. the answer might not be blowing in the wind but in your heart and where you place your heart and the thoughts in your head. this will give you the direction you are heading
