Why did Jesus(pbuh) pray if he's Lord?

Jesus always referred to himself as having been sent by God (John 17:3) and his followers, too, considered him a man approved by God (Qur'an 19:37; Acts 2:22, John 3:2).
Jesus prayed to God like all other God-fearing individuals (Luke 5:16), and engaged in spiritual exercises such as fasting (Matt 4:2).
Furthermore, Jesus lacked knowledge of the future (Mark 13:32), as only the Divine Being possesses perfect and complete knowledge.
"And he (Jesus) went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed..."-(MATTHEW 26:39).

This one puzzles me most. If Christianity agree that Jesus is setting examples on how to pray then why Christians not follow it?

And, behold, one came and said unto him (Jesus), "Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but One, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the Commandments.-(MATTHEW 19:16- 1

When Jesus came to earth, He came in the form of a man and for that period of time He became a servant and example to do the will of the Father.
Hebrews 2:7 states, "You (God the Father) made him (Jesus) a little lower than the angels." While the Son was here on earth, He was to live as a man and was subject to many of the limitations of being a man.
Jesus stated in John 17:5 that He would return again to the Father and share in the glory that He had before His human birth.- "And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began."
When the man came to Jesus and called Him "Good Master", Jesus was not denying His deity but to impress the seriousness of the question. "Are you really sure of that?" would be a modern paraphrase.

It's obvious, if you ever read Isaiah, that He was sent from above. So, if He was Sent to become In The Spirit-Flesh, He Too, from the Flesh, had to call on Him In the Spirit. He was the only Man-God. He was the Only One to raise from the dead, and ascend into Heaven.

John 6:63
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.
1 Corinthians 15:39
All flesh is not the same: Men have one kind of flesh , animals have another, birds another and fish another.

Ephesians 2:14-16 (New International Version)
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.

IF JESUS MADE THE EXAMPLE FOR US TO FOLLOW, WHY DON'T CHRISTIANS DO IT?
WE TOO, ARE IN THE FLESH, UNTIL THAT DAY, WHEN WE ARE MADE PERFECT IN HEAVEN.

...Unlike traditional Christians, I do not believe Jesus is God. For me, Jesus came as the Messiah. With that said, I like to point out that your points are valid.
...You may get grief from other Christians because you're daring to question. Especially if you're of the Islamic faith.

Jesus prayed because at the time the Gospel stories were invented, he had not yet been made into a god. The Trinity nonsense came much later.

Jesus is considered by Christians to have both human and godly attributes. The prayer was a manifestation of his human side. As for myself, I consider all religion to be superfluous, since, being irrefutable, it is provably useless.

I cannot understand the Christian fixation with Jesus. He was a man----just a man. He was a Rabbi, a teacher. I could much more easily accept him as a prophet than as G-d. G-d is One.

God is omiscient. He knows what you think before you do. Prayer is a ritual. It's for YOU, not God. What, did you think you were actually telling God things He didn't know when you prayed?
