I was reading a question, and somone referred to me(man) that we are filthy rags unworthy of gods love. Well I say if that is so then that would mean were filthy rags, because we have been cleaning up a filthy mess, and whos mess it ours, or the one that was left for us to clean. Sorry i do not mean to offend anyone, but to suggest that we are filthy and not spiritual beings who is capable of great love just sounded ludicrous to me. what are your feelings on this, and please we do not have to be disrespectful to convey our frustration, or anger.

I like how you put it that its from cleaning all the mess we have made. I also liked someone elses dirty diaper analogy but….. Human is a very diverse being and there are all types. This world has never known a time without war. Many times much blood is shed all in the name of god and who’s god is better. We are killing for oil right now and we “Americans” are now all dirty through association. There was a southpark, it showed that America worked because half the people were aggressive fighters that kept us safe and half the people were compassionate people that felt bad for their actions and apologized. This isn’t just America, it’s the world. There are always people making messes and always people cleaning them up. I am glad to be a dirty rag rather than a dirty diaper maker and you should be too! In short God gives us the power of free will, enough rope to hang our selves with or save ourselves from drowning, whichever we choose to do with it.

Do you have kids? Okay say your kid has messy diapers or made a mess eating dinner with his hands, gets food all over his face, table, chair, floor etc...or worse yet, goes out drinking and comes home smelling like vomit, apologizes and begs 'help me' The dirty messy things of this world really have a way of messing us up no matter who makes the mess or how it happens.

Well our Heavely Father cares for us even though we mess up in what seems minor to us. The son's of God are spirtual being but having been born on earth we get involved in matters that get messy and can hamper/dirty us spiritually. The filthy rags are an example of moral degradation/sin-- that happens when we don't handle matters as God instructs us. Therefore we need a continual cleansing and renewing of his word in reading the Bible and by communicating with him through prayer. He says 'my sheep hear my voice' --this clear, strong relationship is the goal and he also says 'seek and ye shall find' these words are his promise to us like written in stone!

haters do see what they want to see and ignore what was really said.. Our RIGHTEOUSNESS are as filthy rags not us. If we were that to God Christ would have never died to make us acceptable to the Father. God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us. If we except that love from Him He promises to give us eternal life... Jim

We are unworthy of his love because of sin. Jesus died for us on the christ to cleanse are sin. We have the power to chose right or wrong. We are unworthy. The lord is a forgiving and amazingly loving god, so follow the path to salvation and life. Read the bible to find your answers.

I do not think it has to do with God. Is more about us and the lack of God within us. God did not create us to do bad things, but as humans unfortunately we turn away our face from God and do all kind of terrible things which cannot be associated with God at all.
