They all talk about Adam and Eve, Satan, Abraham, etc, etc. It seems to me that they are vying for the top spot of who is right when in actuality they come from the same source, they are just variations of their original commonality.

They all think they are the "right way" and try to get other people to follow their way. I see this as ego of "my way is the right way". This is where the problem starts. It starts with the ego of those who spread the beliefs in these cultures and leads to those who are followers accepting this and creates seperation.

If god exists, then I think it is only fair that we are judged for what we have done.

I find that the christians in my family are always good at shifting things to the supernatural i.e. shifting the blame of evil to satan, or the problem of our sins to jesus.

Does anyone else here think that no matter what we believe, we need to take responsibility for our own actions and face the consequences (whether from god, other people or ourselves)?

Your OWN teachings and YOUR own words and teachers have said that the LDS do NOT worship the christian God.

EXAMPLE

Encyclopedia of Mormonism asserts that creation is
" organization of preexisting materials "
A mormon article entitled " A Mormon View on Life," Lowell Bennion states: " Latter-day Saints reject the ex nihilo theory of creation. Intelligence and the elements have always existed, co-eternal with God. He is tremendously creative and powerful, but he works with material not of his own making. "

Jesus created EVERYTHING

Jn 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Col 1:16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

Someone is WRONG

Why is the ACLU pushing for religions like secular humanism and aethism? (two separate religions--remember, a religion is an organized system of beliefs, even though many followers of these doctrines deny having any religion) If man claims to have an absence of religion, he is most likely worshipping himself, because it's like an absence of color--not possible. Something will always take its place.
Too many lawsuits outlaw any beliefs not embracing these ideas. How about we file a lawsuit to stop secular humanism and atheism from taking over our public schools--or at least allow it to balance equally with other beliefs?

"These days, the world is taking to strange ways. In every field —physical, moral, spiritual, and worldly— there is rampant pollution. We are of two minds with the way in which the world is moving. We are both amused and sad at the state of affairs.
Humanness is very sacred. There is no greater force than humanness. Man has to pursue two kinds of education: Education and Educare. Education is acquiring knowledge from textbooks written by someone else. Educare is manifesting the divinity latent in a human being. This is by self effort. It involves bringing out something that is already there, within, by one's own sadhana (spiritual exercises) and not bringing out evil qualities that are carefully and perversely preserved in one's bosom. Educare is bringing out or manifesting the human values of sathya(truth), dharma(righteousness), santhi(peace), prema(love) and ahimsa(nonviolence) by sadhana."
In the Quote from Sai Baba above, can we say Kaam Krodh Lobh Moha Mada Matsara the 6 foes?

In the catholic religion what is the basis for not being a god parent anymore. When my husband and his ex were asked to be god parents they both said yes. So they baptized their god daughter together the father knew they werent married (which i didnt know you had to be) he said as long as they planned on getting married they would be the baby's god parents. If they broke up they werent god parents anymore. My husband doesnt keep in contact anymore with that side of his life because of complications with his ex. Is he still considered or supposed to be considered the god father anymore?
