If god exists, then I think it is only fair that we are judged for what we have done.

I find that the christians in my family are always good at shifting things to the supernatural i.e. shifting the blame of evil to satan, or the problem of our sins to jesus.

Does anyone else here think that no matter what we believe, we need to take responsibility for our own actions and face the consequences (whether from god, other people or ourselves)?

Bravo! Someone else has the sense to stand up and say oy, it's not some higher power's fault it's our own.

Have you never noticed how we, as humans, have a habit of pushing the blame on someone else. There has to be someone to point a finger at. This world exists, it must be God's doing. There is evil in the world, Satan is responsible.

For some strange reason we find it difficult to accept resposibilty for the things around us. Or to say that they really are here purley by chance...It confuses me. But then I realise that's it's because we have so little faith in ourselves, because we push it onto a higher power. It makes me sad, humanity is loosing it's way and it is not because of Satan or any other other-worldly big bad. It's because of us.

We caused the problems and now instead of praying, we really should stand up and try to fix them.

Adam and Eve were made perfect. They chose to betray the lord giving birth to SIN. We as humans have the ability to chose right or wrong. Yes it is easy to shift the blame away from oneself, but we all have to look at ourselves and do things the way the lord would approve. We all have the power to rebuke the devil. So to answer your question yes we all have to take responsibility for our own actions and for the actions of the worlds parents adam and eve.

I am a Christian. That He took my sins in my stead is an act of supreme love. That does not give me a free ride. For my part, I must turn from sin, repent. I should take responsibility for my actions, here on Earth. But without His intervention, I would not be able to have a relationship with God. So I accept His unselfish act, though I certainly do not deserve it.

Yes...we should always take responsiblity for our actions, because it is the right thing to do.

God sacrificed Himself, in Jesus Christ, to pay for the horrible things we have done to seperate ourselves from Him. It is a gift called "grace". It is up to each of us to accept this gift or turn it down. The gift of grace is what leads to eternal life in Heaven.

There is a story about a guy who betrays his best friend illegally, even though his friend is a lawyer. He is tried by the judge & found guilty, which was difficult since his friend was also the prosocuting lawyer. After the sentence came down of life imprisonment, but bail set at $3,000,000, the prosocuting lawyer pulled out his checkbook, and paid for his friend's bail.

The defendant is everyone of us, the judge is God, and the lawyer friend is Jesus Christ...Justice is served!

We do face the consequences because the result of sin is two fold. We need Christ's sacrifice so that we can be unblemsihed in God's eyes. But we still pay for our sin here on earth.

In other words if you lie about being sick, stay home from work - then the boss sees you at the ball game - well God will forgive you thru his Son Jesus Christ if you are repentent - but you still may lose your job here on earth - because you boss doesn't care about Christ forgiving you - he still needs you at work.

So our sinning still affects our life on earth and we have the consequences of that.

God didnt kill Jesus, He was an angel just looked like Jesus. (itz written on Quran) God is the most merciful, He doesnt want to hurt anybody. And Jesus will come back to the world again. Im a muslim but my Prophet Muhammed loves Jesus so much, so i love him too. I hope i cn see him when he comes again.

Anyway of course we ve to take the responsibility of what we did, and it will be like that on the settling day. Everyone will be responsible of his/her life n God will never charge us with anyone's sin in the other world (itz written on Quran).

God is the most fair.

While yes, we do need to except the blame for our sins, be grateful that you can be forgiven of your sins, that is how you can own up. As for the justice aspect of this, in a way yes it is justice, all sin required a payment of blood, yours, His or an animal.
a lamb, or other animal, was only temporary, your blood would mean eternal separation from God, but His was both eternal and He rose from the grave so He did not stay separated from Himself, for Jesus is God and man but He was what Adam(and all other humans) was supposed to be.

The Bible says we will all be judged for what we have done here (why did you think we wouldn't?). However, those who accept the fact that Jesus died to wipe away our sin will be able to enter into His rest and peace in heaven. This is the greatest justice you will ever be offered. But if you don't accept it...it is wasted and will mean nothing.

We should be judged for what we have done and we will. The point of Christ coming to die on the cross is because we cannot pay the price that God demands. Only God can. God came in the form of a man to pay that price for us.
If it was not for Christ paying that price for me I would be facing the consequences of my actions and I wouldn't care to do that.

The wages of sin is dying. God, to be righteous, might desire to require fee for each sin ever committed. merely before Jesus, fee from sin befell often by way of options of cows, sheep, goats, and birds without illness. God did no longer prefer that so He sent His son, who grew to become into appropriate and without illness to be the suited, appropriate and extremely final sacrifice for each sin, previous and latest. I, such as you, am biased and does no longer prefer to make certain the guy you defined being launch via fact somebody else paid His debt. God sees issues in any different case than we do. As complicated because it ought to be, we'd desire to have faith in Him that justice would be served, and because he's a righteous God we'd relax certain that it's going to. you may desire to be keen to have faith till you are able to now have faith. attempt beginning your heart and see what efficient issues he will do in you and your life!
