Yup, since I don't believe in God I will burn forever in Hell. Although I 'm not a terrible person and have a heart, I will burn in hell for all eternity and suffer. Does that seem kind? What about others that are even more compassionate than many Christians. They too will burn in hell for not believing in God.

God did NOT create Hell. The Roman Catholic Church did, during the dark ages (400-600 AD). The idea of Hell did not exist until this time and was placed within Christian doctrine as a way to manipulate and control the masses which at that time was most of Europe. In the Bible (Hebrew and Aramaic text, not the fake King James) the lake of fire referred too, was a place of final death, not torture or "damnation". Most Evangelicals believe in Hell much as the old Catholics did, as a way to scare people. They forget that God is loving and compassionate, He will not punish you by torture (that would make most humans better parents than him), he would simply nullify your soul, hence final death. No more no less.

He didn't create it to punish us, that's the devil's territory. It's basically just the absence of God, which would be hell! It's where the devil and his demon buddies hang out. And God doesn't say that He's going to punish us by sending us to hell. It's not punishment. It's just where you end up going if you refuse God! It really is like Star Wars. There's the good side, and the dark side. If you don't choose God, you're choosing the dark side. Therefore, you go hang out with the dark side when you die. God gave us the free will to choose Him or not choose Him. He isn't going to punish someone for not choosing Him! Hope that helps clarify for ya :)

Satan was God's right-hand-man (so to speak). When Satan thought he was just as powerful as God, God did something about it, and banished Satan from Heaven...hence the creation of Hell, for the fallen angel.
God doesn't stop loving us, and never will...He loves all of his creation, but Hell is a place of punishment when we do not respect our Father & His authority. Maybe an extreme Fear Factor version of time-out.
Didn't you ever get punished for undermining your parent's authority? It's the same type of thing, just Super Sized!!

God loves you, but wants you to fall in line...hey dont take that seriously!
The proof for hell (and heaven) is nothing, if not flimsy.
I guess hell is a creation by the early fundies for their contemporary detractors. Atheism is alive and kicking during biblical time (psalm 14:1)

Greeks and Romans created hell because they didn't understand what volcanoes were, which seemingly spring from underground (the abode of the dead). In ancient times, people often believed fiery volcanoes were doorways to hell. They assumed it has to be a place where the naughty dead people go, and Christianity took that and ran to obscene extremes with it.

God is after all, the Creator of this universe and everything on it. He is divine and Holy. He has the right to tell His creation how to live and we owe him everything we have! Make no mistake - man is not ignorant about this as God has clearly spelt this out in His infallibe Holy Word, the Bible. Man has to know, whether he like it or not, that God has two sides: He is the loving God who sent His Son Jesus as a ransom in our place, to reconcile man to him, but he is also a God of wrath and He will punish man [justly] for turning her/his back on her/his creator, God is nobody's fool and God does not [and I stress that] answer to his creation! Man is offered a choice between life and death and God clearly stresses in His word that He does not want man to die as sinners but to have life everlasting. Man, however, is a stubborn being and now wants to create his own version of the bible and wants to force God to submit to man's will. God is a God of love and because of this infinite Love for man, he will punish those who willfully choose to ignore this, justly [and I stress this last word!]

god basically created hell only for the devil and his demons but somehow you die and you haven't been forgiven for your sins then you go to hell but god doesn't want anyone to go to hell he wants to give us everlasting life throught Jesus that's why he sent his son to die on the cross and wipe off are sins something we don't deserve. Believe me I used to not believe in things like these but one weekend i went on a retreat with my church. I swear i was praying hard enough that when lifted my hands towards the sky and a pastor came to pray for me. I felt a burn that was so hot something that I couldn't stand and ever since i've been desiring this so much i ask for it everyday from now on. that's why people call christians crazy people because we don't care about what people say. why care when we have an almighty god that he's all we need to live.

Hell was created and intended for Satan and his demons. It was not created or intended for MANKIND. The Bible does talk about Satan falling to the earth like lightning from the sky. Satan is the Prince of the Earth AKA Prince and Powers of the Air. People dying in their sins cannot enter Heaven. Hell becomes their eternal home, because sin and God cannot coexist together(that is in the same presence or in the same room). There is no sin in Heaven. When a sinner dies how can that person be allowed in Heaven, when they have not repented and asked for forgiveness of their sins? How could God allow them into Heaven when they have rejected Jesus Christ, His one and only Son? Would you allow someone into your house who has openly rejected or mocked you? God does love all things, but He also despises people's sinful nature. Love the creature, hate the sin.
When a person becomes saved, that is asking Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savoir in their life, making in #1 in everything they do, they become an ENEMY OF SATAN. Which Satan will do everything in his power to try and bring that person down. "Greated is He(God/Jesus) that is in me, than he(Satan) that is in the world." That person is no longer condemned to judgement, but is free and given the gift of eternal life/salvation through Jesus Christ. Salvation/eternal life is a FREE GIFT, it cannot be bought and cannot be earned, when asked it will be given.
It is our free will that lets us decide where our final resting place will be. God gave us free will because He does love us so much and we are not robots programmed to follow Him. You make the choice, do i accept or reject God? Mankind sends themselves to HELL, GOD DOES NOT.
Overrall, Hell was created for a place for Satan and his demons. The current Hell right now will die though as it says in Revelations and the FINAL HELL IS THE LAKE OF FIRE, which in the end Satan and his demons will be cast into the lake of fire and will be tormented day and night. YES THEY WILL BE TORTURED AS WELL, but right now they are not.

To punish evil Christians for the stupidity and bigotry towards others. Judging from some of the posts on here, they deserve it too.

God created hell for a place to send satan. He also said, since we can not serve 2 gods, we are either with him or against him. If we dont chose the right side, then well....I believe there is a hell, I'm not sure how it works, or who goes there, but I chose to serve God, because his promises are kept.
