What do you want your child to know about Jesus?

I don't think it's a loaded question at all. It's directed toward a very specific group.

more than know "about" Jesus....I want him to "know Jesus" on a personal day to day level. I want him to know that Jesus cares about every difficulty, that He wants in on every daydream, that He would like to be asked before every decision is made. He wants to be very involved in my child's life. I want him to talk to Jesus the minute he wakes up and to have Him be the last thought before he goes to sleep.

I want my kids to know what wonderful things Jesus did for all of us, that He died for our sins and that He has a special plan just for them. I also want them to know that it is their choice to accept Him or not. I did not grow up Christian by any means, I explored MANY religions all on my own as I got older and got interested. I assume they will both most likely do the same and I am fine with that. When they get to that time in their lives I will try to keep reminding them of Jesus love for us, but I will also help them explore other religions. As much as I know Jesus is the way, the truth and the light, I also know that I did plenty of research on every other religion I had ever heard about before truly making a final decision. I just pray that their final decisions are for Jesus also.

I want him to know that Jesus came and sacrificed himself so, that we (who accept him) can be forgive, healed, released from all curses, and most importantly saved and can spend eternity in heaven with our Father. I want him to have a personal relationship with Jesus not just know who he is. We all know who Christopher Columbus is but, we don't have a relationship with him, like we can with Jesus.

Everything.

And I don't see why you're getting thumbs down. You stated it was a question for Christian parents, not "Hey, all parents". A question for Christians that states about Jesus.

Not a loaded question at all, was it?

I'm surprised (or maybe not) that nobody replied "I want then to make up their own mind".

He is kind and good, he saved us from our sins so that we will all be able to go to heaven. Jesus treated people like he wanted to be treated.

That " God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, shall not perish, but have eternal life. God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but thru him the world might be saved". I want my kids to know that he was sent to this world to die on the cross, so that they wouldn't have to die.

Depends on age, but I would say that he was a man of knowledge a teacher of life and that he loved people more then himself but was killed by those people who loved because they saw him as a danger as a weirdo. ;-)
