I was brought up in a christian home, baptised at the age of seven, and attended many church related activities (still do infact)

But I don't believe in God. How I came to that conclusion, I don't really know. I started to learn about other religions, and questioned why there were so many. I looked at different theories for the origin of God, different arguements for and against his existance. I studied creationism and evolution.

Over time I became Agnostic, which allows me to continue searching. In the end religion is really all about answering the big questions, but I really don't believe there is a universal answer. For example, one person's meaning of life, might be the total opposite from another's. Kind of like the whole, one man's poison another's honey idea...

I guesse I went out looking for it, developed it over time and then let some of the answer's come to me. A lot of people (mainly my relgious friends) have difficulty understanding how I can live without God in my life. But I don't think I do...I have a God, he just goes by a different name.

Love.

1.I was raised in a southern baptist home and from the time I was 12 or so I always had serious problems with what the bible said as opposed to how it was practiced by so called "christians".
2. My personal beliefs now have developed over time, at 18 I stopped going to church and just started studying religions. While I believe in God, I dont believe he would be happy with what so called christians do in his name.He is a God of love forgiveness and charity.
Im a liberal but still believe in Christ as my saviour, I believe that one should never have anothers beliefs forced on them. My religion works for me.

I'd have to say it's relationship-a sweet one at that. Jesus Christ found me. He came knocking at my heart's door. I was a very young child, four or five years of age. I was suppose to be asleep one night, but I overheard the gospel being preached. It came from the neighors apartment. There was an invitation and I really wanted to go where the voice was coming from. I couldn't. There
was something in the invitation that told me I could invite Jesus to be my friend from where I was and so I did. I can only remember praying COME. I desperately wanted a friend and
the rest of what I knew was very little. I can tell you Jesus came
into my heart. It was as if lights went on and I felt his presence.
It surprised me so much that Jesus could come through doors.
Later in Sunday School I learned Jesus could do that and much
more. I learned he died to save me and I accepted Him also
as my Lord and Savior. It may seem strange to some people,
but I can remember it. There are clear pictures in my mind.

God kept showing me the truth and I was blinded by the many things in our culture. When I first became intimate with Him, I asked why did you not show me yourself earlier, and for a few weeks I reeived memories of the many years when I was an atheist that the truth was offered to me and I just did not see it.

It's always been there ya know? It started with my mom ever since I was a witta baby, grew up knowing God and going to church and being "christian". I always stuck with it because she showed me the REAL side of God, not the fake stuff. You know like, I HAVE to go to church and I HAVE to read my Bible and I can't do this or that or I'll go to hell kinda thing. Anyway, Jesus is represented by a rock in the Bible. You know, build your house on the rock instead of the sand, He is my rock and my shelter, all that. God gave me a dream awhile ago about my mom and I in the jungle and we were each on our own rocks. There were snakes and tigers and all kinds of scary things around us, but they couldn't hurt us on the rocks. Her rock was HUGE and my rock I could barely balance on so I was trying to get to hers without getting hurt. That dream was basically saying it's time to seperate from my mom with God, to getting started on my own relationship with Him, to get my own rock because my mom isn't going to be around forever. Still rollin with Jesus :) Well, still workin on making that rock bigger anyway, lol

I beleive we are all sinners on our way to hell. Unless we accept Christ as our Saviour we will NOT be in heaven with him. he paid the debt for all our sins. We can not work our way to heaven,
