Your OWN teachings and YOUR own words and teachers have said that the LDS do NOT worship the christian God.

EXAMPLE

Encyclopedia of Mormonism asserts that creation is
" organization of preexisting materials "
A mormon article entitled " A Mormon View on Life," Lowell Bennion states: " Latter-day Saints reject the ex nihilo theory of creation. Intelligence and the elements have always existed, co-eternal with God. He is tremendously creative and powerful, but he works with material not of his own making. "

Jesus created EVERYTHING

Jn 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Col 1:16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

Someone is WRONG

DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS
http://scriptures.lds.org/dc/contents
93:29 Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.

it seems that man is NOT a created being in LDS Teachings

33 For man is spirit. The elements are eternal, and spirit and element, inseparably connected, receive a fulness of joy;

Question if the elements are eternal and God was once a man like us, then how can the LDS god be the creator. it seems that the LDS god is not all powerfull if he was a man like us at one time. where did he come from then, who created your LDS god if he was a man like us. Before the LDS god was a god who was his god. it had to have a beginning.

What does the word of God say.
NIV
1Ti 4:16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
2Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
1Co 4:6 Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.
Jude 3 Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.

Mormons will sometimes say that they are a form of Christianity to make people more open to accepting it. Don't believe it. Prejudices aside, the facts simply are that there beliefs are not compatible with Christianity, in far more ways than I want to take the trouble to list. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me.

EDIT: All of you Mormons that say that you believe in the Bible-- just where do you think the book of Mormon comes in? The Bible is already complete-- the Old Testament, which the Jews accept, predicts the New Testament, though they don't except it as the completion-- hence the difference between Jews and Christians. But whether it is legit or not, the New Testament is designed to be a completion to the Old. Just like the Koran, the book of Mormon is an add-on created by man, and is not predicted by God in the Old Testament. Don't fall for it.

EDIT 2: Guys, I tried to make an intelligent response from my own viewpoint. Giving me five thumbs-down just encourages me to respond likewise against answers I don't like. Be civil, please!!!

If I told you "You are not Christian, you do not believe as I do, therefore you are going to burn in hell!" How would you feel? Would you feel happy or sad???

We DO believe Christ created everything...did you know that "The Word" is another description of Jesus Christ? Let's try this:
Jn 1:1-3 In the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
I totally agree. All things were created by him...THINGS, not our spirits...but everything else, our bodies, everything.
Consider this: Since Christ was with God, and Christ had a spirit, no body yet because he had not been to earth, wouldn't that be a possibility that we also were there in our spiritual form? Or did God the Father only create Christ and we just appeared when we were born?

I get upset when someone tries to tell me what I am, because they dont know me. I am a Christian. I believe in the Bible and know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ mankind can be saved. All religions have some differences, but if you follow the teachings of Christ and believe in the Bible then you are Christian. There is no LDS god, there is only God, and that is our loving Heavenly Father. A true Christian does not go around judging others. Read Matthew 7:1.

Well you're not the first one that made that false accusation.

Personally, when I heard or see such judgement, I laugh, because it show how little do you inderstand what we teach.

Even LDS like me for 35 years, we know there is much to learn from our doctrines, and yet many of you "experts" think you know more than we do.

I do not know where you dig up those references, it means very little, because it is not our official doctrine. Our official doctrine is what our church say, not any leader, if any of our leader say something that is contrary with the official church doctrine, it is to be disregard.

Lastly, we follow Christ in the way that the Lord Savior commanded, not by any man's standard. Call us what ever you want, it does not hurt our faith or the way we love jesus Christ.

Something is wrong! I am not a Mormon because I concluded that Joseph Smith is a false prophet of God. The only thing that remains according to the book of Deuteronomy is not to listen to him or to follow him.
You haven't even got the most controversial stuff listed here.

Not really sure what you are upset about, either. Maybe we should all go back to the original Hebrew and talk things out. How do you know someone is "wrong" - maybe it is just a matter of semantics. How do you create something yourself? Do you use materials at hand, from the store, or do they just suddenly appear because you thought about it? Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.

Of course I get upset. The church is called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A Christian is defined as someone who believes in God and that he has a son, Jesus Christ who lived and died for the remission of our sins. We believe in all of this. Yes, we differ from other world-faiths in several ways, but our core beliefs are the same.
You should visit the church's official webpage: www.lds.org

I am a member of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints (mormon). It does not upset me when other christians wrongfully judge me because Christ taught us to turn the other cheek and to forgive others. I realize that many christians do not say such inane things out of malice, but rather in a futile attempt to witness to us (even if it is a rather un-christian thing to say). So, I thank you for your concern. However, rather than pointing out the "flaws" of others, I would suggest that your time might be much better spent in studying the scriptures and living the Gospel.

That said, it is one thing for our leaders to point out that we understand and worship Christ differently than mainstream christians. It is an entirely different thing for you or anyone else to simply say that we are not Christian at all.

Simple - we define a Christian as someone who believes Jesus Christ is their Savior, Redeemer and chief exemplar.

I understand if you define Christian as something different, or more detailed (and that's fine), but I hope you understand that we might be offended when we hear people say that we're not because in our minds we have this more encompassing, generic definition- and to us it sounds like your saying we don't believe in Jesus at all.

Does that make sense?

Have a good day.

To answer your question please define what is meant by "what is a christian?"

The obvious answer would be, one who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

So are Mormons christians? yes, the name of the Church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, one would assume that they believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Their first article of belief is that they believe in God the Father, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.

So, please refine your question by what YOU define a Christian to be?
