I was a prodigal daughter also.....my mother prayed for me for years. She died not knowing that her prayer would be answered. I need to remember that now with my own children. It is hard to not see results. When my mother was in a coma and dying I went through a "mother's book" I had given her a couple years earlier. It had all the usual questions about the history and all. It had one page asking what her favorite Bible text was. It was Isaiah 49:25 (last part) "I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children." That broke my heart- I will never forget it!

I don't know who all prayed for me...I'm sure my mom did and my Mamaw, and a whole lot of people in my church! I'm so thankful that they did though!
The Chorus of a song I love!
Somebody prayed for me
They had me on their mind
They sacrificed their time
They fell down on their knees and prayed for me
They had no doubt that God would bring me out
Would change my heart and mind
I'm so glad that someone prayed for me

I don't get why you would have to have someone pray for you to get saved. Jesus/God already loves and excepts you for you....all you have to do is believe in him/her. That's all....you don't need anyone praying for you salvation...you have the power in yourself to do it.
You Born Agains are weird as all Fuuk. I have come to the conclusion I know what wrong with you ppl. You have done something REALLY REALLY bad in your life and feel like must buy and sacrifice the rest of your life in order to get into heaven. *sigh* It says in the bible that all you have to do is except and believe.....geez that's what I do and I'm not some bible thumping fanatic. Y'all need help....and not on a spiritual level....on a mental level. Fuuking Crazy's!

Catholics know that we have a host of faithful relatives and friends who have gone before us, who are praying for us, too.
Sometimes it takes the whole church just to save one soul.

My parents prayed for me all their lives. I accepted Christ when I was seven, but after that my life wasn't always exemplary. I know that their prayers helped me through until I finally turned around.

My x husbands aunt, she was in her 80's and after I had not seen her for several months she heard me talking about the coming of Christ and tears started to well up in her eyes because she knew then that God had answered her prayers.

Yeah, if you persevere, eventually the brainwashing will take, regardless of how absurd and abject the "beliefs" you're trying to instill.
