Jesus was Messiah foretold by Torah prophecies, every word He said was truth of the Law, translated with Love.
Mind is processing every information from the Heart anyway, so we all follow mind by default.

Jesus did not teach that we are to exclude the mind or the heart from our religious considerations... that said, he made it quite clear that man's sin, depravity and salvation are very much a matter of the heart. It is man's heart that sins, and it is man's heart that accepts salvation. The mind gets involved and through logic and reasoning makes belief of the heart easier, but it is the heart that believes unto salvation.
Jesus said that we are to be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves, so it is impossible to deny the place that the mind holds in Christianity (especially when Paul tells us to cast down arguments in 1 Corinthians), but Christ's teaching also very much involved the heart, as proven by his Sermon on the Mount, where he told the crowd that whether or not they have committed a specific act, they have sinned in their hearts if they imagined it.
So, mind or heart? Christ taught both. And we are to follow both... we are to have faith like children, but nowhere are we told to bind ourselves to child-like thinking. As I said earlier, the mind (that is, logic and reasoning) cannot save us, but it can make belief of the heart more reasonable.
EDIT: And in reply to the second poster, the Bible tells us that the heart of man is deceitful above all else. So... no, it isn't always right. In fact, it is quite frequently wrong.

Jesus teachings was based on the word of God. See below passage.
Joh 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Well if you change your mind, will your heart follow? No
If you change your heart, your mind will follow.
SO, his teachings were and are based on the heart.
Another example is if you change your ouside to fit in with a particular group (school, work, sports, etc) will your inside change to match this? NO
BUT, if you change your heart (inside) , your outside will follow.

John 7:16-17"16 Jesus, in turn, answered them and said: "What I teach is not mine, but belongs to him that sent me. 17 If anyone desires to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching whether it is from God or I speak of my own originality"
Jehovah sent Jesus, so the teachings are from Jehovah.

The scriptures are based on a balanced perspective, neither heart nor mind is sovereign. They are connected yet distinct. Mat 22:37 " Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. "

If you pay attention to the bible he tells us to change the way we think and not be conformed to the world around you, be transformed to the new creature that he is trying to bring to you. Look and read Romans 12:2, my words are his words. Both your mind and your heart has to be one with Jesus.
So to answer your question for me it is both!

There is no dichotomy. We are to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. Love encompasses our whole being in Christ.
