Aren't we all good at planning? We plan projects, meetings, careers, even holidays. Do we pay good deeds enough attention? If no; then let's start today and plan. If yes, what are you planning today? I am planning 'selat rahem' - keeping in touch with relatives. It is the Eid and connecting with relatives is a very good thing a muslim can do during these days. Eid is about Compassion. What about you?

Could you write a little comment on this parable?

Matthew 20: 1"For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire men to work in his vineyard. 2He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and sent them into his vineyard. 3"About the third hour he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing. 4He told them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.' 5So they went. "He went out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour and did the same thing. 6About the eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, 'Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?' 7" 'Because no one has hired us,' they answered. "He said to them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard.' 8"When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, 'Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.'

Does a constant collaboration exist between the antichrist and the false prophet? Are there also antagonists?
In the following I am quoting the three passages from the book of Revelation in which it speaks of the false prophet. Then I will make some comments, and of course, some details will also be stimulated by your answers, if there will be any.

Revelation 16:13Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Revelation 19:20But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

How does one feel when he does not believe he is going to have an ever lasting life. Does he just think it is all over? Doesn't that make you feel depressed, that you have no special connection to your Creator, and take the whole thing for granted? You come from nothing and go to nothing, how sad??? Is that what you really want to feel? Non-believers and believers, please comment. Please leave the insults and only intelligent answers, it is ok, this is a forum with different thoughts, no one is trying to make or force anyone to think or do anything . . .

How could all these scientist be wrong about a God/Creator of the universe: Francis Bacon (founder of modern science), and so many mathemeticians - Robert Boyle, Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, Blaise Pascal, Bernhard Reimann, Copernicus, Kepler, Descartes, Gregor Mendel (laid mathematical foundation for genetics!) and Max Planck (quantum physics). One would think that such exacting minds would not have followed religious beliefs without scientific or logical evidence as that was their mindset. And yet they still believed in a God/Creator...

So - why couldn't evolution and creation be compatible in some way?

I'm curious. My Arab grandpa, a migrant to Australia in the late 19thC declared "you belong to the dirt that feeds you, and the community you share it with" . We've lived by that, ever since.

Do you think that if Satan wins, the universe will be in better hands, I mean he has not really been responsible for billions of deaths.. Perhaps Satan is the good guy and God is the Evil one.

In this Religion section, there are always ppl b*tching at each other over a stupid thing that just wastes time. I thought this section is supposed to help answer an actual question that the person has (i.e. wat does this word in the bible mean, wat is Judaism, etc.) But instead, I find arguments over which religion is the best, basically (which isnt fair, cuz christians usually have more support in this topic). And dont tell me that these arguments are the atheists fault only. If it was just a bunch of atheists, then who the hell are they arguing w/? Why do ppl take religion so seriously?!

Why do we need another religion which will lead to more wars and problems in an already ruined world. Does Tom Cruise think that if he stays loyal he will be taller in his next life? What are people's views on this?

In the Roman Catholic faith, I hear that Heaven is "eternal life." However, how is this a reward for a loyal and faithful earthly life? By the sound of it, it is basically life on earth except it lasts forever: all the suffering in life (the headache every other day, the fatigue from work, the despair when things go wrong) lasting forever. Is this what people mean when they say Heaven is "eternal life?" Or is Heaven, in the Roman Catholic faith, a place without suffering, where all earthly desires, both practical and impossible on earth, are fulfilled, with nothing but pure happiness and enjoyment, as others will say?

I get excited and ambitious to pursue the Catholic faith when I hear some people say the reward is Heaven, which they say is pure happiness and everything is perfect and there's no suffering: getting everything you wanted on earth, spending eternity with good friends and family, etc. but then I get confused when Heaven is "eternal life": daily earthly life, but forever.

As an atheist, I have read both. And I find them both boring, repetitive and confusing. But, I would say the Quran was the worst of the two.

Im a Christian and have been living for Christ for a few years now. But, every once in a while I get such a void that I just want to pick up all my stuff and move somewhere. Maybe join the peacecore and live with indians in the jungle or something. My latest was move to the mountains so I could rock climb and ski all the time. There is a book called Iron John that explains males like adventures more then females but dang....I like want to do drastic crazy stuff. What is this void Im trying to fill what am I trying to find? Im in my mid 20s single. I have read of guys traveling the entire world over 100 countries and they come home for a couple years then do it again. I always thought the real reason their doing that is because their trying to fill that void of Christ in their heart. But, now I have a similar drive to just pack up and go. This is killing me its like a caged animal wanting out. What is wrong with me? Why cant I be content with what God gave me? God Bless
