it was told by our lord that Satan would continue tempting and promoting evil until the day of judgment. Christians and Muslims know that the will of their Lord is supreme. we cannot pray against his will

there one thing that stands in the way of a prayer such as that to be answered. REPENTANCE, God knows satan's heart and knew that his beloved angel was beyond forgiveness. This is a battle that has raged secretly in satan's heart from the begining. (adam and eve that set off a chain of events)
God's love for satan burned so deeply and the fact that God knows everything, even before it happens tells us that there could be no other way to put an end to Satan's evil than to send God's own son, who knew no evil, who's heart was pure to die for man kind and to do away with sin. (Think of Moses and the extraordinary events that took place, The blood turning to water, and pharoh's men countered the miracle with one of thier own, trying to dispell that God was above other gods... finally God had to resort to drastic measures... Moses snake eating the pharo's snakes, and then God taking the lives of the first born... there is a good study on the significant order and what God was trying to show against the gods of the pharoh) and that can be said for satan... God knew that satan would try to counter any act that He would do to try to show that he was as great as God Himself, so God had to show His own creation ( man) that God is who He said He was, and this is something that Satan couldn't duplicate. ( So now all satan can do is bide his time and take as many of God's children as he can, satan knows his time is up and is desperate, and we'll see more of that in times to come, the closer we get to Jesus' return)
God cannot go back on His own word, and answers prayers in HIS way, and in His timing. Evil will be done away with, but had Satan been converted back, there would have been others to take his place, since we know that there are angels that followed satan and left the comforts of heaven. God is a God of love, even His angels excersise free will, to the understanding that some chose to leave and follow evil, while the remaining angels gladly serve God.
Even if satan was converted, there is still evil in people's hearts, we are not robots, and we have free will of our own.
This is a good question!

We pray according to the will of the God. Jesus himself followed the will of the father to his torture and the destruction of his flesh. All things work to the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose. As a Christian we know that this world is temporary and the evil that you claim need to end will not end until Jesus returns. We have evil in the world because we live under the grace of our lord Jesus Christ. Evil will not end until his return. If we seek its end prematurely which is impossible then we seek the end of this world and the judgment falls on all who have not accepted the atonement. All things are going according to the will of God and will continue to do so...prayers only work within this perimeter.

There is no point in doing so.
According to the Gospels of Barnabas, Jesus once prayed to his Lord to forgive Satan. God said he would forgive him if he asked for God forgiveness. So Jesus beckoned Satan and he appeared before Jesus. Jesus told Satan of this good news, but Satan proclaimed: I is not in need of this information.
Due to Satan's arrogance, he is unable to be humble and obey God's command. Satan can not accept that a being of dirt and clay can be better than a being of fire (like himself). Therefore, his arrogance prevents him from being converted back to God's grace.

Satan is going to hell and he will stay forever there. It's just he was postponed until the end of the world and he will go there with his followers.
Saying this will end all evil is not correct statement because evil is something considered part of the test that is given to all human. Without evil, there is no sense of having hell or heaven!

He is an angel, and there is simply no reconciliation for those types of beings. Christ died for humans.
