What is the soul of a person. When a person dies, it is said, that they actually lose a small amt of weight, is that the soul leaving the body? Where did it come from, how did you acquire it? Where does it go, & who gave it to you? Non-believers, do you have any thoughts about this?

Each person is a tripartie being. You are a spirit, you have a soul(your mind, intellect, will, and emotions) and you live in a physical body. This is how you(the spirit) contact the physical world.

1Th 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

When people die, they immediately pee and sometimes defecate. (sorry to be so graphic!) Cleaning them up is one of the things that has to be done. Also, air goes out of their lungs at some point, and that has weight, also.

Meanwhile, if you're a "believer," notice that in the Bible the word "souls" is used to mean "people." It's the "spirit" that returns "unto God who gave it," but that could just mean your breath of life (which has weight, as you say). When a person's dead, the Bible says you don't have to worry what that soul or spirit is up to (whew!), because, by definition, it's dead and gone (until Jesus comes and calls the dead back to life).

What I have found as my truth, is that our spirit (soul) is who we truly are. This spirit was formed when our mother spirit began to divide. My guides show it to me as happening in a similar way to single cell division. Since everything is energy, it is easy for our spirit to do this at the beginning. (At this time science confirms that everything is energy) Our spirit at some point decided to experience life and starts to incarnate into different lifetimes. At first these are simple and as our experience grows we look for challenges (well some of us do). This reoccurs over mind boggling numbers of lifetimes. The more one learns and applies, the more one evolves.

We exist phisically with our body, we seek God with our spirit, while we exist eternally with our soul. The weight thing is interesting, I would also like to know if our so called soul weighs 6 grams, but I think all that is bullshit. That is manmade stuff, whereas God is real.

Yeah my mom created my soul but now I really feel that it is not worth much. I mean, god, what can soul do anyway? A lot of people have auctioned their souls on ebay as far as I know. So.........

when i was born i got this soul, and when i die i guess it will leave my body, as of now i know only my body. i dont remember my life before this body. and i dont think i will be able to carry this remeberence to my next body ( if i have any)
so its - this body - this soul, no body - no soul
according to me soul or no soul just take care of your body
